Nature's Paradise Organics Review and Giveaway

Lately, I have found myself to be using a whole lot more organic and natural products around my home.  Cleaners for sure, because with two little girls and having read all of the risks of having chemicals around the house makes me feel more confident that everyone will be breathing a little easier.  I am lucky enough to have found some really great cleaners, but my love for the organic and natural doesn't stop there.  Cereals, cheeses, vegetables and other varieties of foods have also started to become a staple in my home, my favorites being the organic crackers.  They are not only delicious, but so flavorful and good for you.  My favorite organic products to use though are definitely things like body washes, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions and hand washes because they are made with natural ingredients that are great for your skin.  One such company that I have had the pleasure of working with on a review lately is Nature's Paradise Organics, they specialize in all the above mentioned products as well as Baby Organic Products and hand sanitizers.  I was lucky enough to be sent a great selection of their products in Vanilla Sugar and Creamy Coconut scents.  Included were:
*Vanilla Sugar Body Wash- I love trying new and different scents of body wash.  Yes, I tend to gravitate towards body washes that are vanilla scented in some way, but not ALL of the time.  This is a great body wash and far different from any that I have ever used before.  Instead of the gel or cream of standard body washes, this is a foaming body wash.  I love the idea and concept of this product quite honestly.  This body wash is enriched with Coconut Oil and is really gentle on the skin, so gentle in fact that I used it on my little one in the shower one night.  Sometimes, I have to be careful as to what I use on her because her little skin can be sensitive at times, but there was absolutely no problems with this.  I have been able to use it with her several other times as well with no problems.  Where as this is a foaming body wash, I found myself having to use a little more than normal but still with great results.  The Vanilla Sugar Body Wash from Nature's Paradise also contain Jojoba Oil that makes it nutritious and luxurious with it's deep moisturizing properties.  It definitely does not dry out your skin and the Apple Cider Vinegar that is also an ingredient helps balance out your PH levels for a healthy feeling and appearance with organic minerals and vitamins.  This truly is a wonderful body wash and I would love to try some of the other varieties in the future.  $24.99 for a big 18 oz bottle
*Creamy Coconut Hand Wash- I love the foaming hand washes that are out in the stores.  They are unique and provide a different hand washing experience.  I put this particular hand wash in the bathroom where everyone would have a chance to use it and guests would tend to notice it.  Enriched with Organic Coconut Oil and Organic Lemon Juice, this makes for a very deep and effective cleanser that is rich in cleansing properties and is gentle for everyday use.  It is made with USDA Certified Organic ingredients that is safe and beneficial to the skin.  This is truly a great hand wash and lucky enough for me, Nature's Paradise sells refills!
$9.99 for an 8oz bottle.
*Creamy Coconut Hand Sanitizer- I love to use hand sanitizer especially when I am in a hurry and need something to cleanse my hands quickly.  This is a great hand sanitizer because it not only smells really nice, but it's portable so you an take it along with you wherever you go.  The refreshing scent of coconut is not overpowering and is calming as well.  It is truly safe in helping minimize the amount of bacteria and germs that your hands go through on a daily basis, while moisturizing your hands with organic coconut extract.  $4.99 for a 2 oz bottle
*Vanilla Sugar Body Mist-YUM!  This is truly wonderful.  I love to wear a variety of scents but this is by far my favorite of all the ones I have.  It is so warm and sweet smelling and the scent of vanilla really always relaxes and calms me whenever I have a long stressful day.  $9.99 for a 4 oz bottle
*Vanilla Sugar Hand Cream- I use a lot of hand cream because I wash my hands A LOT during the day, with diaper changes and such.  This is such a great hand cream because it really works on my dry and cracked hands.  It nourishes, replenishes, and repairs the skin on your hands to make them look and feel their best. Their hand cream is enriched with Organic Shea Butter and Organic Oils that replenishes the oils back to your hands.  I love the scent and it really works!  $24.75 for a 3 oz bottle

These products from Nature's Paradise are some of the best organic products that I have had the pleasure of using.  They have built their business around the USDA regulations in providing the safest products for the world's retailers and consumers.  Their green laboratories are 100% chemical free as they endeavor to work together as a talented team of scientists, sales, marketing, management, and customer service in providing their retailers and customers with quality service and products.  Nature's Paradise products are gluten free, chemical free and pure vegan and encourage all to take part in securing the future of our children and our earth by going green and making the switch to sustainable products.
April is Autism Awareness Month and Nature's Paradise will be donating 25% of their Baby and Kids Sales to Generation Rescue, which is Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy's organization.  Generation Rescue is a parent founded and parent led organization whose efforts have spanned 38 countries with the goal of recovering children with autism using biomedical information.

Total Fitness DVD's Review and Giveaway

I have really been trying to lose weight and get fit this year.  Every year on December 31, I make the same New Year's Resolution, to lose the weight that has plagued me all of my life and get healthy so I can be around for my family.  I am usually good for a couple of weeks, maybe a month, but then I cave into my cravings for soda and fast food and go right back to my semi-unhealthy lifestyle.  My husband bought us all a Nintendo Wii with a few of the Fit Games like EA Sports Active and the Biggest Loser.  I find myself having a really hard time watching The Biggest Loser on TV because I get so jealous that they not only have the motivation to lose all of that weight, but that I am not on their getting my butt kicked into gear to do it myself.  When I see people who have struggled with weight like I have shed all of the pounds and look and feel great, I get so upset and downright depressed.  My friend all throughout my life struggled with her weight all throughout school.  About 5 years ago, she had enough and lost 140 pounds and has kept it off.  She looks absolutely amazing and I am extremely proud of her and all that she has accomplished in her life.  I had the wonderful opportunity to review a couple of great DVD's from Total Fitness DVD's recently.  Keeping with the whole theme of The Biggest Loser (my hubby really likes watching the show), I chose The Biggest Loser:The Workout Cardio Max and The Biggest Loser:The Workout Power Sculpt DVD's.  I was excited to try these DVD's because they both had Jillian and Bob in them and we all know what they can do.  Plus I felt a little more comfortable being able to work out in my home alone rather than heading to a gym where everyone watches everything you do.  The Power Sculpt DVD is a 6 week program for maximum weight loss and included 3 levels of workouts that you can also customize.   It also features some of the other winners and runners up of the popular hit show that have won their battles against the bulge and now want to help you achieve your goals as well.  My hubby and I worked out together with the Power Sculpt DVD and let me tell you it is definitely a workout.  I felt pain in muscles I never even knew I had, or hadn't used in a while.  I definitely felt the difference in how I felt in the week that I did these workouts.  The Cardio Max is also a great workout to really get your heart pumping.  You may use hand weights with both of these DVD's but they are no required.  If you want to reach your weight loss goals, I highly recommend both of these DVD's in conjunction with each other for the absolute best results.  I have lost about 5 pounds in the little time that I have used these DVDs.  By no means do I work out everyday, I have had to take my time to ease into these a little bit because of the workouts itself.  I can't wait until the day that I will be able to take the next step to levels 2 and 3, then I know that I am on my way to a better me!

Total Fitness DVDs are just not for fitness DVDs, they are your total source for fitness and wellness media.  They also have a great selection of fitness kits and equipment such as resistance bands, core balance balls, yoga mats and so much more.  They also have a great selection of children's workouts, which is extremely beneficial in getting our kids fit and active.  Total Fitness DVDs also have a selection of instructional Martial Arts and Self Defense DVDs.  I also love that they have Weekly Specials where you can get some of the best DVDs at special discounted prices.  You can choose from many fitness instructors including Billy Blanks, Jillian Michaels, Richard Simmons, and so many more.  For more information and to check out all of the wonderful products that Total Fitness DVDs has to offer, please head over HERE.  Free shipping in the US on orders over $19.00 and reduced shipping for International Orders.  With over 1,025 titles in stock, you are to sure to find exactly what you are looking for.

GIVEAWAY-
Total Fitness DVDs would love to give one lucky Mommy2TwoGirls reader a set of The Biggest Loser: Cardio Max and The Biggest Loser: Power Sculpt DVDs like the ones I received. (approx. value $26)

MAIN ENTRY-Mandatory and must be done before any extra entries.  Please make sure that your email address is visible in your comments so that I have a way to contact you if you win.

Friendzip Bracelets Review and Giveaway

My oldest daughter is 7 years old and is really starting to blossom into a friendly person.  The house we moved to has a little girl her age that lives next door, something she has never had, kids to play with.  I was starting to believe that she was going to end up like me, a loner who never really had a whole lot of friends through school or in the neighborhood that I grew up in.  Now, she is becoming like her father, a social butterfly.  When I was growing up, I had one close friend and I remember having one of those necklaces that were two halves, one said "Best" and the other half said "Friend".  I gave it to her and we ended up wearing that for a long time before she moved away.  I also remember taking lots of different colors of embroidery floss and making bracelets with a girl in my neighborhood.  I can't begin to tell you how much of that we went through.  I also had a container full of beads that we used to make a lot of bracelets, necklaces and even earrings with.  I was contacted a while back about doing a very special review with a new product that I think is truly amazing to be able to share with your best friend or friends, maybe a sister that you are really close with or on occasion maybe even your mom.  The product is Friendzip Bracelets, a new and fresher updated version of the original friendship bracelets and the concept is so simple yet special.  Betty, who is a very sweet lady and creator of Friendzip Bracelets is so excited about these.  She says it is a fresh and unique concept of a children's bracelet designed for girls of the ages of 7 to 12.  She so graciously sent me four of her beautiful and simply adorable bracelets for review for my oldest daughter.  My daughter is starting to get into wanting to wear jewelry and especially bracelets, so she thought these were really cool when they arrived.  Here is the concept behind the Friendzip Bracelet as explained by Betty herself:
The Friendzip Bracelet is a bracelet that fashions a variety of designs.  The bracelet can be unzipped and children can exchange half of their bracelet with their friend.  Children can also mix and match designs from their own collection.  Each bracelet also contains some wisdom on how to be a better friend.  They also offer additional charms for as the charm on the original bracelet clips off.

If you caught my review and giveaway of the Charm It! Bracelet a while back and noticed any of those charms, they also fit on the Friendzip Bracelets.  These bracelets are so great because they unzip down the middle so you can give one half to your friends and keep the other half for yourself.  They fasten by a piece of velcro on each end, but I have heard that they may be making them with a snap, which would be so great!  My oldest was so thrilled with these that she asked me, OK begged me to let her take one with her to school.  She had a friend that she wanted to share one with.  She took the Happy Heart pattern with her to school and was so happy when she came home to let me know that her friend had accepted it.  She keeps telling me she can't wait until she gets to know the little girl next door better so she can give her one too.  I keep telling her we have only been here in the new house for two weeks, give it a little more time.  I guess the moral of the story is, she absolutely loves her Friendzip Bracelets.  I love them too, because believe it or not, it has given my oldest a little more confidence in a time where she wasn't exactly sure where she stood with some kids at school.  These bracelets are filled with a powerful message and really makes you stand up, think and take notice.  What a wonderful creation that this is and I hope that these bracelets get the recognition they deserve.

Betty from Friendzip Bracelets owned a small gift basket business and sold it after three years.  It had grown beyond her capabilities of keeping it going well and taking care of her family.  As her children grew, she decided to home school them.  Her son has special needs and she felt as though she could offer him more than the schools were willing to offer him, working with him one on one.  Betty's daughter began going to a home school mentoring group on Fridays when she was almost 6 years old.  As she grew, she dealt with normal girl issues (talking about one another, choosing sides, facing popularity issues, etc.)  They would talk about the issues and look at the Bible in God's perspective on how to handle some of the issues and being kind even when she was not being treated kindly.  She also talked about starting a small business, so she could see how businesses should be run, how to manage things like inventory, how to price things, etc.  Betty and her daughter joked about a lemonade stand.  Betty had considered doing a basket business again, as she was new in the area, but she knew that would require more room than she had, not to mention time.  The business idea became a reality one morning when she was praying for a friend and she remembered a necklace that she had on..it was a chain and it had a zipper pull on it as a charm.  Betty wondered what else she could do with a zipper and the idea of the separated zipper, decorating it, and being able to unzip so you could exchange it, came to her in seconds.  She utilized this to help girls to remember to be kind to one another and included a piece of advice with the bracelet so the girls could exchange halves, remember the advice and live that toward their friend.  This continues to be their goal and have thought about other avenues to help young girls realize they can build successful relationships due to the positive actions they initiate.    They have also had fun designing the bracelets and picking out the patterns they think will be fun for girls.  Betty's daughter, who knew how to sew, made the actual prototypes for the bracelets as well as the description "Jewelry with a purpose!."

Friendzip Bracelets are a great value at $5.95 or buy two (mix or match) for $10.00, in a great variety of patterns.  They also have a nice array of charms starting at $1.50 and up. For more information and to see all of the great products that Friendzip Bracelets has to offer, please head over HERE.

Mixes From the Heartland Review and Giveaway

I love finding new things to cook for my family.  It seems like a lot of times, we are in a rut as far as what to make for dinner.  This past month has been filled with going out for dinner, perhaps a little too much.  I admit, I really don't like to cook, I am not a whiz in the kitchen by no means.  I like to bake once in a while, especially with my oldest daughter, who loves to bake cookies, brownies and cakes with me.  As far as cooking dinners, it seems like we are always having the same things more out of convenience and price rather than quality.  Trips to the grocery store have become very expensive, sometimes spending $150 a week and seeming to get very little for that cost.  There is a great company by the name of Mixes From the Heartland that can not only solve the rut of cooking the same things over and over, but end up costing you less money to do that in the long run.  They offer a delicious variety of quick and easy meal ideas mixes such as soups, meat loaf mixes, pastas, salads as well as breads, muffins, brownies and dessert bars.  I love the variety of products that Mixes From the Heartland has to offer, with everything they have you'll never feel like your in a rut, there's always something new to try.  I was sent an absolutely wonderful variety of mixes for review that not only taste good, but are so good for you as well.  Here's what I was sent:
*Mexican Style Casserole- I am a HUGE Hamburger Helper lover, for me it is a quick easy and sometimes good meal.  Lately I have been disappointed in how they have changed their recipes into making them a little less flavorful.  After tasting this delicious Mexican Style Casserole, I will be hesitant to go back to Hamburger Helper again.  It is so easy to make and takes the same concept and makes it more flavorful, more yummy and easier to prepare for a full meal for my whole family.  The only ingredients needed is ground beef (I used lean ground chuck), water and 2 cups of salsa.  The pasta and seasonings are already in the package.  When you are finished cooking it, serve with cheese( we used taco blend cheese for extra flavor) and sour cream.  My whole family and I absolutely loved this!  We also had some Multi Grain Tortilla Chips on the side for a little extra added crunch.  My family and I love Mexican food of any kind as long as it has some great flavor and this definitely did NOT disappoint.  This is a great, easy weeknight supper idea. $6.49 for a 1 lb package

*Texas Bean Bake Meal- I absolutely love anything that has to do with chili and especially beans.  Upon looking at this package, I knew that this was going to be good!  Speaking of chili, my sister in law makes the absolute best White Chicken Chili that is out of this world.  This Texas Bean Bake is another great weeknight meal idea that is quick and easy to make even when you are short on time like me.  A couple of pounds of ground beef (once again we used ground chuck), water and ketchup or BBQ sauce is all you need for a tasty and unique meal.  You can also substitute beef broth for a richer tasting dish.  My oldest really loved this, little one is still exploring tastes and flavors so she ate a couple of beans and some of the meat, but it was hubby who couldn't get enough.  He is a chili type of guy and loves all things associated with it.  I think it has a wonderful flavor, not too spicy.  I would definitely make this again for my family.  $6.99 for a 1lb package
*Sweet Corn Casserole- I love corn and anything that has corn in it.  I so look forward to the summer when I can go down to my local Farmer's Market and get several ears of fresh corn on the cob.  My oldest shares my love for this vegetable, but little one won't eat it in any form.  This Sweet Corn Casserole is my absolute favorite of all the mixes received.  The flavor is amazing!  Simple ingredients that you have around your house like eggs, vegetable oil and cream style corn is all that is needed to make this great side dish.  Reminds me a lot of the corn casserole that my sister in law makes for Christmas.  So good, so creamy and a unique texture mixed with the sweetness of the corn makes this a one of a kind dish.  $5.99 for a 2lb package

*Italian Bean Soup- I made this on one of the cold days that we have here and this soup was a big hit with everyone.  Next to Mexican food we love Italian food and this sound has so much flavor going through it.  Water, tomatoes and a crock pot (you may also cook on top of the stove)is all you need to make this hearty and satisfying soup.  It also recommends during the last 10 minutes to either add ham or Italian Sausage (we added smoked sausage).  This was absolutely delicious and a perfect ending to a busy day.  We also had crackers with it as well.  $6.99 for a 1lb package

*Cinnamon Orange Cake- The flavor of orange is one of my favorites and combine that with cinnamon and you have a unique flavor experience.  This cake is so easy to make and what really makes it stand apart from others is the orange juice that you add to the mix.  I frosted it with a vanilla frosting but you may also ice it with Mixes From the Heartland's Orange Flavor Dessert Dip.  Needless to say, this cake did not last long around my house. $5.99 for a 2lb package

The Wumblers by Giddy Gander Review and Giveaway

My two girls love their stuffed animals. When we moved out of our old house into the new house, we had to downsize a lot of our stuff.  See, we had a basement in the old house which we used for storage and a lot of their stuffed animals ended up down there.  They must have had about 10 bags in stuffed animals and dolls, no joke.  Their grandmother and aunt tend to buy them A LOT of different stuffed animals, toys and dolls, yes my girls are definitely spoiled.  I admit, I see something cute and I have to grab it too!  There were a few that they kept, but my oldest has really been getting into the giving spirit and has seen stories on TV and read things in papers about other children being without toys, pajamas and other things that they may need and want.  So she very generously went through stuff with me and donated a lot of her toys and stuffed animals to Goodwill.  There was one in particular that she wouldn't part with and that was the Baby Wumbler that we received for review from the Giddy Gander Company LLC.  This toy is so unique and plainly so darn cute, that we really couldn't part with it.

The Wumblers is an entertaining and enriching children's DVD, CD, broadcast and soon to be book series that is grounded in the Wumbler Patch.  Children everywhere are enjoying the sweet-natured, whimsical and humorous collection of Wumbler characters who combine fun with social, global, environmental, and humanitarian learning in a way that parents applaud and kids just can't get enough of.
Both Bertrum, a five year old Wumbler and Raimundo, his best pal who happens to be a bilingual Latin American Snail, blend clever storylines with imagination and play, educating children to the "importance of making the world a better place for ALL." The overall goals of the Wumbler series is to mentor in children a sense of responsibility to human kind and to the world that will span lives and improve each generation's outlook and opportunity for a better tomorrow.

I was sent a blue Baby Wumbler Plush for review.  These are so cute as you can have the plush out on it's own or tuck him back into his little watermelon house as my oldest calls it and it looks just like a whole soft watermelon.  If you didn't know what it was, you would never know there was a little creature in there.  Now, knowing the story behind these Baby Wumblers, I am so honored to have one.  Little one has recently stole the Baby Wumbler from her older sister and plays with it almost daily.  The Baby Wumblers are born from watermelon and at the center of one of their most successful social enrichment programs for kids is brought to families by the Wubler Patch brand.  The main purpose of these Baby Wumblers is to teach children the importance of caring for ALL beings even the weakest and most vulnerable.  Included in this is the Wumblers partnership with the National Watermelon Association, where their Baby Wumblers are used to teach nutrition throughout the US.  They believe in lessons that strengthen humankind and the world, and also believe that the best form of learning is both gentle and fun.  This is the reason the Baby Wumblers transforms from a soft, cuddly watermelon into an adorable Baby Wumbler and arrives with a bright, yellow identification band "It's a Wumberful World We Line In."  The message behind these Baby Wumblers is clear and VERY important.  I try to instill the importance of treating others equally to both of my girls but especially right now my oldest.  People can be so cruel and other kids at her school are on a constant basis.  The world is a different place and if there is even the tiniest thing that can make this easier for our children, then by all means I am definitely for it.  I love the message behind these Baby Wumblers and the things that it teaches not only our kids but ourselves as well.  To have something so simple like a cuddly friend like the Baby Wumbler mean so much is something to be treasured always.

Laura Wellington is the creator behind the Baby Wumblers, The Wumbler series and the Wumbler Patch brand and created this for her four children cope with the three year passing of their father and husband from cancer.  Not long after that, the tragedy of 911 marked a second opportunity for Laura to help children cope with the suffering they were experiencing with the many losses plaguing so many families.  The Wumblers series and Wumblers Patch are a combination of vast parent-child approval and appeal and became the valuable seeds in which their success was sown.

Yoplait "Nourish Your Inner Goddess" Prize Pack Review and Giveaway

From Philosophy to strappy sandals, the Greeks were always in the know.  It's no surprise that they created a delicious healthy yogurt.  New Yoplait Greek Yogurt invites women to nourish their inner goddess with the goodness found in every cup of their newest addition.  With 12 grams of protein-twice the amount as you would find in other leading brands of yogurts-new Yoplait Greek nourishes from the inside out.  Yoplait Greek is available in four creamy, delicious flavors-Strawberry, Honey Vanilla, Blueberry, and Plain and has an unmatched taste with it's thick, creamy texture.

I love yogurt, it is one of my favorite snacks.  I love to go to the refrigerator and grab a cup as a pick me up or an afternoon treat.  There are so many varieties and flavors to choose from, this is one healthy snack that never gets boring.  I recently had the opportunity to try the new Yoplait Greek Yogurt in Honey Vanilla and Strawberry flavors.  This yogurt is absolutely delicious!  It has a thick, rich texture and with 2X the protein and 0% fat, it is a yogurt that you can feel good about eating as well.  This is definitely a yogurt that I WANT to buy more of and try all of the flavors several times over.  This was one yogurt that I did not share with anyone, it was so good I had to keep it for myself.  My favorite was the Honey Vanilla.  I tend to gravitate toward that particular flavor as my favorite is the Yoplait French Vanilla Thick and Creamy variety.  The Strawberry Greek yogurt was really yummy as well with it's great flavor.  My favorite part about this Yoplait Greek Yogurt is the texture, it's unique but provides something special that you would never expect when eating a yogurt.  For me, it's filling and satisfying, I only wish the cup was a little bigger!   I hope that Yoplait keeps this Greek yogurt around and branches out into more flavors.  I am extremely impressed with this and would definitely recommend it to you, my readers and everyone else too.  This is a new wonderful addition to the Yoplait yogurt family.
