J & D's Candles Review and Giveaway

I know I have said it so many times before, but I am a lover of candles. Thanks goodness, I got a few for Christmas, but I always have a candle lit in some form. Whether it be a soy candle, a regular candle, or one of those Febreze or Glade Flameless Candles, I always have one going. I have had the pleasure recently to try a couple of really nice little candle companies for reviews and giveaways and I had the chance to check out another one by the name of J & D's Candles. They have a wonderful array of candles in a number of scents. I was sent two 8oz candles-one in Sweet Pea scent and the other in Holiday Open House scent. My hubby also really loves candles so of course as soon as I got them, he had to light both of them, one in the kitchen, the other in the living room. The scents were both really nice and made each room smell really fresh and relaxing. I really like these candles because they are soy candles and I know from experience as well as with these candles, that soy candles are better burning and longer burning. These candles are also really colorful and I personally love lots of color in the candles that I burn. I was really impressed with what J & D's Candles has to offer. I also love that each candle is handmade, it shows higher quality. If you are a lover of candles like I am, head on over and check them out. Candles make great gifts for any occasion!

J & D's Candles is a small, family run candle business based out of Belleville, New Jersey. Their natural soy candles provide the same great smelling sensation from start to finish. They have one of the most unique scent selections on the net. J & D's Candles 8 oz candles have a burn time of 50 hours. The 12 oz candles have a burn time of 70 hours. The 16 oz candle has a burn time of 100 hours. The votives have a burn time of 25 hours.

J & D's Candles enhance your home and work area with lovely scents, more than 100 and they are environmentally safe as well. Their fragrant candles are all natural and feature 100% cotton wicks. They surpass the competition by using 75% more scent per pound than any other leading brand. J & D's Candles are 100% All Natural Soy, Lead Free Wicks, Soot Free and Excellent Scents. They proudly support and are used in Himalayan Salt Lamps. Why buy J & D's Candles? Soy wax burns at a much cooler temperature than Paraffin wax, which allows for longer burning time. Scholastic Storybook Treasures Review and Giveaway

Scholastic has been a huge staple in our family for years. My oldest daughter has tons and tons of books from Scholastic and we also order them for her once in a while from school from her book orders. Scholastic has some really wonderful DVDs out now called Storybook Treasures, where they bring all your favorite Scholastic books to life. I was absolutely thrilled to be able to review TWO sets of Scholastic Storybook Treasures recently. The first set I reviewed was The Night Before Christmas and more Classic Holiday Tales. This is a 2 Disc set that also features The Twelve Days of Christmas DVD. All in all there is 12 stories on these two DVDs and they are narrated by some names you might recognize like Jane Curtin, Anthony Edwards and Christopher Lloyd. We really enjoyed watching these DVDs as a family, our favorite was Max's Christmas and I'm sure if you have little ones, you might have seen Max and Ruby before once or twice on Nickelodeon. Over two hours of great multicultural stories that you can read along with. This is definitely a must-have for your holiday season and there may even be one or two stories that you yourself are familiar with:
The Night Before Christmas
The Clown of God
Merry Christmas, Space Case
Seven Candles for Kwanzaa

The Little Drummer Boy
Max's Christmas

Run time-2 hrs.4minutes
Format-DVD-2 discs

The second DVD set from the Scholastic Storybook Collection that I got to review will be one of my favorites for many years to come and that's the Treasury of 100 Storybook Classics. There are a lot of great stories on these 16 DVD's that I was excited to recognize. My oldest daughter was definitely excited too because there was a Curious George Story on there and she loves Curious George, he is cute! This collection is also a definite must-have, the stories in this collection are timeless and your children will love watching these stories over and over again. These stories provide a much needed break from channels like Nickelodeon, Disney and Sprout (I can only take so much Wiggles and Little Einsteins!) Plus all of these DVDs are Read Along DVDs, so you can have fun watching and learning the story all together. The featured stories on these discs are:

Devilishly Delicious Dips Review and Giveaway

Whenever we have a party or a quick get together at our house, we always try to think of different snacks. We usually end up with a lot of the same things, cheese and crackers, meatballs and the same old potato chips and french onion dip. I was so excited to learn of a great little company by the name of Devilishly Delicious Dips, where Tammy is the creator of the most unique and yummy dip mixes. I had contacted her to do a review for my blog about the same time that I had won a giveaway that she was sponsoring on another blog. It was really funny how it worked out that way! So from the giveaway, which was a Family Size package, I chose the Mildly Warm Taco Dip and for the review, Tammy asked me to choose two sample size dips. For those I chose the Bacon Dip and Garlic Lovers. When I received all of these dip mixes, opening the box was even a delight! I got all of the aromas from all of the spices and I couldn't wait to see how they tasted. I made up the big package of Taco dip first as I had a whole bag of tortilla chips just waiting to be used. Simple to make as well, sour cream and mayo mixed with the packet. It just smelled delicious mixing it, I couldn't wait to eat it and eat it I did. OK, I shared some of it with my hubby and girls and we all came to the same conclusion, WE LOVED IT! This dip was so flavorful and the combination of the spices used was beyond amazing. I didn't think my oldest daughter would stop eating it and little one even said YUM! We added a little bit of Taco cheese on the top of it too, which intensified the taco flavor of the dip itself. So impressively DELISH!
We also tried the Bacon dip a few days later with some regular potato chips. My oldest daughter is a HUGE fan of bacon and this dip definitely does not disappoint. Sour cream is all you need for this dip and as I was stirring it in, huge pieces of bacon all throughout. This dip did not last long at all, I seriously think my oldest daughter ate most of it by herself, at least I got a chance to try it and it was very yummy. The last of the dips I go a chance to review was the Garlic Lover's and for this one I tried something different. I mixed this in with some real butter and made garlic bread for my Italian dinner one night. It made some delicious bread and there was some rosemary in the spice mix that made it taste unique and oh so good. I would highly recommend Devilishly Delicious Dips to anyone and everyone to try. If you do a lot of parties or even if you don't and just love to make and eat dips as much as I do, you need to check out all that Tammy has to offer. She definitely knows what she's doing and is always creating something new.

The wonderful thing about Devilishly Delicious Dips is that Tammy makes Savory Dips and Sweet Dips in a variety of flavors. Here is what she currently has to offer:
SAVORY DIPS:
Onion
Taco (Mildly Warm, Hot and Lava)
Bacon
Loaded Baked Tater
Garlic Lover's
SWEET DIPS:
Vanilla Chai
Butterscotch Sprinkle
Lemonade
Chocolate Malt

Most of Devilishly Delicious Dips come in 3 sizes:the Try Me Size is $2.00, the Family Size is $4.00 and the Party Size is $8.00. For a limited time you can get a selection of try me sizes during the Grand Opening Deal 5 for $5.(This deal ends 12/31 at midnight) Each size comes with it's own dip instructions based on the amount of seasonings per pack. You can use these packets of seasonings for more than just dip, check out Devilishly Delicious Dips site for more on what you can do, also for more information and ordering.

Lander Kids Bubble Bath Review and Giveaway

Both of my girls love take take baths, I call them my little fish because they always love to be in the water. So needless to say, we go through A LOT of bubble bath. I was so excited to do a review for Lander, who I never knew until I contacted them was based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is about a half an hour drive from where I am! Lander graciously sent me a big bottle of Berry Blast Kids Bubble Bath, a washcloth, and a cute little fishy bath toy, which my youngest daughter really loves, she plays with it in and out of the tub. I used to buy Lander Bubble Bath for myself quite sometime back and they have a wide range of scents for adults (my favorite was lavender/chamomile). We've been using this bottle of bubble bath for over a week now and my girls love it! The fact that it's blue and smells like fruit is always a plus, but this Lander's Kids Bubble Bath makes A LOT of bubbles with just a little bit. This big bottle will last you a long time, which is great when you have two little ones who take a bath pretty much EVERY night. Lander Kids Bubble Bath not only comes in Berry Blast scent, but Wacky Watermelon and Silly Strawberry as well. This bubble bath is also a great value at less than $4 a bottle. The bubbles don't irritate my girls sensitive skin like some of the other bubble baths that I have used with them. I am a HUGE fan of Lander and can't wait to try their other products. I just love using this Lander Kids Bubble Bath and my girls certainly enjoy it too!

Lander's products have been on store shelves for more than 85 years. Their products don't stop at Kid's Bubble Bath, they have a whole range of bath and body products that I never even realized! Here are some of the other products and scents they feature:

*Kids 3 in 1 (Bubble Bath, Body Wash and Shampoo)
*Adult Bubble Bath in wonderful scents like Milk & Honey, Sugared Vanilla and more!
*Foam Bath and Body Oil
*Baby Bath
*Baby Shampoo
*Baby Lotion
*Baby Oil
*Baby Powder
*Mouthwash
*Kids Dental Rinse
and so much more!

Lander has been providing the American public with quality bath and personal care products at a value price. Golden Moon Tea Review and Giveaway

I have said before, I love tea, all different kinds, all different flavors. I have been able to review some great teas lately and have recently been able to sample some tea from Golden Moon Tea. They generously sent me a tin of their 2007 World Tea Expo Winning Coconut Pouchong. The name of the tea itself sounded interesting and tasty and I couldn't wait to try it. Of course, my hubby is a huge tea drinker, so I brewed us both some that evening. The smell of the tea brewing was wonderful, you could smell the coconut for sure. The taste was even more amazing! The coconut flavor is not too strong, but it makes the tea stand out from a lot of other teas that I have tasted. I really like this tea because it is a little sweet yet smooth and it's green tea, so it's good for you too. I can tell why this tea is an award winner, it is just that good. I would love to try this tea as an iced tea, I bet it would really be delicious. Hubby, being the main tea drinker in the house and pretty particular on what kind of teas he drinks, really enjoyed this tea as well. He usually only sticks to the plain green or black teas, not much of a flavored tea guy, but he said this tea was really good because the coconut wasn't overpowering, you could actually taste the flavor of the tea too. The Coconut Pouchong Tea is one to be enjoyed with a donut of a piece of coffee cake for breakfast, it truly is a one of a kind tea.

Golden Moon Tea is different from other tea companies because they are not a mass marketer and focuses on providing a limited number of the highest quality unique specialty teas and each flavor of tea offers you the beast flavor from distant lands. Golden Moon Tea is immersed in all aspects of the tea culture and emphasizes research including History of Tea, tea production, tea recipes, etc.
Golden Moon Tea was founded in 1993 and each tea blend is crafted and tested repeatedly to ensure the best flavor and balance. They use only the freshest, highest quality whole leaf teas plucked from the tea gardens of proven quality. The quality offers you the best taste and support for multiple infusions, multiple infusions save you money and ensure a low cost per cup. Also Golden Moon Tea individually tastes and cups each shipment of tea to ensure proper quality to their customers. A portion of Golden Moon Tea's net profits go to the Lotus 88 Foundation for Women and Children.

Some of the wonderful teas that Golden Moon Tea has to offer:
Green Tea
Black Tea
White Tea
Oolong Tea
Flavored Tea
Tea Bags

They also offer teapots, tea kettles, tea cups, tea sample sets and gift sets. Orders over $74.95 receive free shipping or $4.95 flat rate shipping. To find out more information on Golden Moon Tea and all they have to offer, head over here: http://www.goldenmoontea.com/

Earthworks/Pur Essence Review and Giveaway

I love trying new lotions, perfumes and soaps in all different scents. I have had the wonderful opportunity lately to try some new products from a few different companies but most recently from Earthworks. They have a great array of different bath oils, body lotions, soaps, shower and bath gel, parfumes, bath truffles, hand lotions and hand soaps in a range of scents. I received a delicious smelling soap and Hand Cream in Limone scent. My hands are the one area that is extremely dry especially now that it is winter time, so I was excited to try this hand cream. Let me tell you, this hand cream is amazing! Not too greasy, very light formula and made my hands feel really soft and smooth and the Limone scent was a treat to the nose. It had a long lasting scent as well and the softness lasted for a long time as well. I love anything that is all natural and this cream is just that. The Limone soap was obviously great smelling as well and made my skin feel soft and sweet. I love these products by Earthworks and you will too.

Earthworks was born out of the appreciation for the body and their dedication to creating fragrant, luxurious body care products to keep the body clean, supple and beautiful. Earthworks passion began with a quest for pur essences, the most exquisite fragrances, each of which embodies its individual essence as well as the inspiration and mood it involves. The Pur Essence is a sensory experience and captures the essence of each fragrance that Earthworks creates. Earthworks combines its pur essence with pure and natural ingredients such as she butter, jojoba, honey, grapeseed oil, and soothing calendula to create all of their wonderful products to nourish, moisturize and soothe the skin. All of their products are paraben free, not tested on animals and their packaging is recyclable.

The delicious scents that Earthworks offers in their varieties of products are:
Sweet Lime
Almond
Limone
Mandarine
Grapefruit
