Melitta Gourmet Coffee Review and Giveaway

My hubby is a HUGE coffee drinker, he loves any flavors as long as it's not vanilla. He's never been really big on going to Starbucks or any other kind of coffee shop. I remember a time we went up to our local bagel shop for a quick bite for dinner and him ordering a cup of coffee. They have about a dozen choices and of course they are all gourmet blends. He had no clue what to do and it took him a while to finally decide. He is a simple man, he loves store brand coffees, the single packs of instant coffee that you can make in a hurry, and he loves using his Keurig machine. I am an occasional coffee drinker, I barely drink it, but when I do, I like a good, fresh, and delicious blend. I can live without coffee quite honestly but hubby NEEDS his coffee every morning, he can't function without it. When he does go without it, he is severely grumpy. We were VERY lucky recently to try a couple of great coffees as well as a Single Cup Coffee Brewer from Melitta. Melitta is a great company that has a wonderful variety of gourmet coffee and coffee accessories. Here is what we got to try:
*Ready, Set, Joe! Single Cup Coffee Brewer in Black-Coffee aficionados across the world know that the manual drip brewing process is the best and easiest way to brew fresh gourmet coffee. With this personal coffee brewer you can discover the true flavor of your coffee. It is stylish and so simple to use and gives you full control over the coffee extraction process allowing you to brew the ultimate cup of coffee in just seconds. This Ready Set Joe! Coffee Brewer uses a cone filter and has a slow drip to deliver a richer, better tasting cup of coffee. The cone window allows you to see just how much coffee you are brewing and also comes with a ceramic mug that holds a 12oz cup of coffee for you to enjoy.
My hubby is SOO in love with this! As soon as I got it and showed it to him, he took it from me and said that it would be perfect to keep in the garage. See, he is ALWAYS outside no matter what the weather and since we moved into the new house, it has gotten worse. We didn't have a garage at the old house, so for him this is a treat. At least when he is hanging out in the garage, watching sports on the TV, or doing work, he can brew himself a quick cup of coffee without any fuss. This is definitely a very smart and inventive idea for those of us who don't want a full pot or even a half a pot of coffee. Sometimes, hubby likes one cup at a time, so this is perfect. Filter, scoop of coffee and hot water, and just watch it brew right in front of your eyes, how cool is that. The great part too is it is non-electric. This is definitely one kitchen gadget you will love to have in your kitchen or in out case garage. This is stylish and simple to use and brews the perfect cup of coffee in seconds.
Cafe Collection-Classique Supreme & Hazelnut Creme Brulee- This collection of coffees are created with exceptional quality and uncompromising standards of the world's best cafes. Melitta brings to life the feelings of the most romantic European cafes. True to their European heritage, they select only premium high grown Arabica coffees from the finest coffee producing regions around the world. These top quality, hand picked beans are then batch roasted and ground extra fine to release the full elegance of the coffee. The result is an exceptional flavor that is always rich and never bitter.
My hubby loved the Classique Supreme as it is a medium roast coffee and he is really big into those. For me, there is nothing better than the first time you open up a new bag or can of coffee and the aroma that you get. This coffee was no exception. You could smell the freshness and I love the extra fine ground. I actually had a cup of this coffee one morning with hubby and I can tell you it is full-bodied flavor that is very smooth and satisfying to all of the senses. Of course, hubby took some of this coffee and put it into his Ready Set Joe! coffee maker and he really enjoyed it as well. I absolutely loved the Hazlenut Creme Brulee. It had amazing flavor with a light vanilla and caramel flavor. I loved flavored coffees, they are by far my favorite and I think this coffee is right on the top of my list of favorites. Hubby of course is not much of a flavored coffee fan, but he did say this one was pretty good. Right now you can get the selection of Melitta coffees for $5.99 and these bags are great size. Melitta has a wide variety for those who love gourmet and international coffee or maybe just the traditional cup. I am very impressed with the selection of coffees that is offered by Melitta, there is definitely something for everyone.

Melitta USA is headquartered in Clearwater, Florida and is part of the privately held Melitta Group out of Minden, Germany. Sweetsation Therapy Review and Giveaway

I love trying new baby products and such on little one. Her skin is not sensitive so I can pretty much use anything on her. I like to experiment with different products and different scents to see which ones work the best and which ones don't. I especially love the organic products that are new and on the market that are even better for little sweet pea and her baby soft skin. I found a great place to not only get bath and body products for babies, but for mommy as well. It's called Sweetsation Therapy and they specialize in natural products such as for the face, body, pregnant bellies, being out in the sun, and so much more. I was sent the following three products for review:
*Orange Dreamsicle Organic Baby Shampoo and Body Wash- This is a great addition to the range of yummy products for babies. This contains a host of nourishments like Calendula, Kiwi, and Oat combined with proteins while cleansing your baby's skin the most gentle way. This shampoo has no irritants and no chemicals, just pure and gentle as nature intended and the best part is that it smells like an Orange Popsicle.
I don't know who this was more of a treat for, me or little one. The smell of this shampoo/body wash is amazing and definitely reminded me or that orange creamsicle that I love to get every summer. I love anything orange scented or flavored so I was excited to be able to use this on the little one. I washed her hair and little skin up with it and a little got in her eyes. I was concerned, but it didn't seem to bother her at all. When her hair was dry, she still smelled like an orange and her hair and skin was so soft. This is definitely a great product and the fact that it's all natural makes it even better. A little goes a long way as well, they recommend only a dime size amount and that's perfect, it has a really nice lather. I would HIGHLY recommend this to moms that have little ones like mine, this is a terrific product and one I would love to continue using in the future, maybe for myself!
*Yummi Tummi Organic Baby Choco Butter with Calendula- This chocolate resembling (not brown in color) Organic Butter has all of the nurturing goodness that baby's skin will enjoy and also Mom's will love to use it too. The combination of Cocoa Butter and Vanilla makes it smell just like chocolate, but please don't confuse it with food, it's not edible. This Choco Butter is designed with baby's sensitive and dry skin in mind, it's formula contains a combination of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Essential Oils of Jojoba, Coconut, Argan, Kukui Nut, Tamanu, and Macadamia to care, nourish and repair dry skin as well as protect from irritations. It's soft and gently pampering for after sun exposure. This butter is also rich in antioxidants and protects skin from free radicals that cause skin cancer.
This Choco Butter is really wonderful, yes I had to use it too. I used it on little one and it really does make her skin feel soft and smell like chocolate. I loved using this and still continue to. I love the scent of course, but the great things it does for the skin and the results you see are truly amazing. It has a rich, silky texture and really does well on the dry patches of skin that plague me. Yes, I know I'm supposed to use it on little one, but mommy definitely needs a little pampering once in a while!

*Choco Smooch Organic Baby Lip and Face Balm- This luxury Choco Smooch baby lip and face balm comes in a jumbo size and is 5 times bigger than regular lip balm. It is very handy for those dry baby lips and cheeks especially during the colder time of the year. This Choco Smooch is enriched with Argan, Calendula, Macadamia and Sea Buckthorn, rich in Palmitoleic Acid, Omega 6, Omega 9, and Vitamin E. It will help revitalize and regenerate dry, chapped skin and bring softness to where it belongs. This balm smells like true chocolate, so moms and kids alike will love to use it. This balm also contains honey and is not recommended for use on babies 1 year or younger.
Little one is 19 months, so I was able to use this on her. Once in a while, her little lips get chapped and I was always wondering what to do about it. I knew I couldn't use regular lip balm on her, so I was really excited to get the chance to review this, especially as it was colder weather here in MI. This definitely does as it says, it made little ones sensitive lips much softer and ready for lots of kisses! I absolutely love this product and all of the other great products that Sweetsation Therapy has to offer. You will be impressed at the selection and the quality that goes into each one of these products. All natural and organic ingredients make these even more appealing.
Sweetsation Therapy was born in 2008, with the collaboration of two USA based labs and a team of chemists, aromatherapists and dermatologists. Take a Little Time

Today, I feel a heartbreaking sense of loss. Growing up as a kid and into my teenage years, I grew up in a small "village" called Lakewood Club where everyone seemed to know everyone. All the kids would pretty much hang out together and we all went to the same school so if we didn't hang out, we saw each other in the hallways or on the bus. Most of us from the "village" knew each other though in some way and it wasn't hard to like everyone, they were just so pleasant. Last night, I found out that I lost "one of my own" so to speak from the "village" where I called home for so many years. Andrea Kelly was one of a kind, she was a beautiful 35 year old woman, with a 16 year old son, a twin sister, numerous family members and more friends than you could ever imagine that absolutely loved and adored here. I didn't know her like a lot of other people did, but I knew she had the most terrific smile that could brighten up any room that she walked into and was one of the nicest and sweetest girls that you could ever want to meet. Her sister and her were inseparable and were always together that sometimes I didn't know which one I was talking to. We don't know what happened to our dear Andrea, just that she was found alone in her van not far away from her sister's home. She had both of her legs amputated at an early age, which was something that I didn't even know until I saw her last summer. When I heard the news last night, I bowed my head and cried. She had been missing for a couple of days and about 100 people or more spent the day searching for her most of the day yesterday. They found her last night around 7:45pm. Everyone has so many special memories of Andrea, mine is just that she was genuine and just an overall great person to want to be around. Why it was that God took her from us, he must have had a reason. I know I can speak for everyone when I say she will be sorely missed and loved forevermore. So take a little time today to hug your loved ones, tell them that you love them and maybe send a prayer for Andrea, her son, her sisters and family and the many wonderful friends and acquaintances that she has made throughout the years, for we are all grieving on this day at such a tragic loss. A young, vibrant and full of life woman that has touched so many lives was taken from us way too soon. God has a new beautiful angel and she is flying high watching us all, and she is at peace now. RIP Andrea.

Sassy Inc. Review and Giveaway

My little one loves to play, whether it be with her toys, her sister's toys, or toys outside, she loves to have a good time. She has a lot of toys, but she does have some favorites. Elmo is a big deal for her nowadays, so any toy that has Elmo on it is a big hit. She has a Wiggles guitar that used to be her older sister's that she goes around the house and plays me songs with it. She recently got a few great toys from a company called Sassy. Sassy specializes in developmental toys for infants and up to 12 months+. I love Sassy because their toys are so well made and are lasting as well as help our little ones recognize colors, shapes, and textures. I was sent a variety of their great products for little one including:
*Fill & Spill Barrel-6 months and up-Inspires Exploration-There's nothing more fun than this barrel of monkeys! A clear, lightweight barrel that is easy for baby to dump is filled with an assortment of brightly colored, soft plush monkeys, plastic barrels and bunches of bananas too. The monkeys have symmetrical smiling faces. The symmetry has a calming effect on babies and young children. The soft monkeys encourage babies to reach out and manipulating them helps strengthen gripping muscles. Squeezing them to hear a squeak gives baby a giggle. The wide mouth barrel encourages baby to fit the pieces back in. This fill and spill activity encourages baby motor-cognitive development and is a pre-cursor to shape sorting. Retails for $9.99Little one absolutely loves this toy, she really enjoyed spilling them onto the floor, not so much wanting to put them away unless I helped her of course. She is in the stage where everything has to go into her mouth so she was trying to munch on the bananas. She really loved the monkeys too. This is a very well made and durable toy and is easy to take on the go as it has a handle on the top of the lid. The only thing that little one needed help with the most was unscrewing the top of the barrel. Little one loves to play with this Fill and Spill Barrel and does so quite frequently.
*Touch and Talk Lap Top-6 months and up-Inspires Communication-Baby will get straight to work having fun with this toy inspired by mom and dad's laptops. This fabric covered toy has bold, bright geometric prints to help baby focus and lots of brilliant colors to stimulate visual development. The screen is a large, True Reflection mirror that reflects baby's image-a site that all babies love to study. Press the keys to hear colors in English and Spanish, musical notes, or silly rhymes and sounds. When it's time for a break, baby can close the laptop and tote it around using the little convenient fabric handle. Retail$14.99
Little one absolutely loved this, of course she loves anything that makes noise. This little laptop is really cute because it is so colorful and my little one loves to press all of the buttons. She is always looking at me when I am on the computer and it's fun for her to have her own little computer as well. This really teaches her a lot of amazing things and she loves to carry it around with her especially when we go to the laundromat. She really has has a blast with this.*Produce Pals-6 months and up-Inspires Fascination- Attach this little banana and apple to the handle or side of the shopping cart and baby will be entertained the whole trip. These fruit character have smiling, symmetrical faces with high contrast eyes-images that appeal to and calm babies. High contrast black and white leggings and tether provide visual stimulation and focus even for the youngest babies. Each little character makes a soft rattling sound or squeaks and has leaves or peels that crinkle to the touch. The toys feature simple plastic clamps that hook onto shopping carts, strollers, infant carrier handles, high chairs and other surfaces. Retails for $7.99 for the two.Little one loves these as well. We took them with us on a recent shopping trip and she played with them the whole time. She loves to go shopping as it is but sometimes it takes me longer than usual to get things done and she gets restless. The banana and apple are just so cute and it makes the shopping trips go faster for her. I also have clipped them onto her car seat while we're in the car. Sometimes a long car ride makes her a little fussy, even as she is getting older. Her sister, who is 7, still doesn't like to go for too long of a car ride because she gets "bored". These little characters are great for on the go and provide little one with a little entertainment as well.
*Less Mess Metal Spoon and Fork-9 months and up-Inspire Independence-This little spoon and fork look like the ones Mommy and Daddy use! Curved metal spoon and "spork" bowls have tiny holes to help suction food in place to prevent spills on route from plate to mouth. The grips are textured and wide enough for little hands to hold in either the right or left hand. The set comes in girl or boy colors and retails for $3.99.
I absolutely love this set! Little one is starting to become miss independent and really has been working hard to feed herself. This set, which I was sent in cute and colorful purple and green, is perfect for little one to take over. She is always wanting to use it for every meal even if it is something that she can just use her fingers for. It's like a fun game for her and at the same time she is learning so quickly how to feed herself. I love how this set is also so perfectly proportioned to fit her little hands and is really easy for her to grip. This is a really sturdy set as well and will last quite a while.
*EZ Scoop Toddler Bowl-ages 9 months and up-Inspires Independence-This cleverly designed bowl has a special shelf inside to help toddlers learn to scoop food onto their spoons. A suction base helps prevent tipping and spills as little eaters work away at their meals. The suction base can be removed as the child grows and eating skills improve. A snap tight lid is included to make the bowl perfect for travel and food storage. Simply push on the center of the lid for vacuum suction. The bowl, lid, and suction cup base are all in different, bright colors in girl and boy hues. Retail for $4.99
This bowl is terrific! Little one may be 19 months old, but trust me she still needs something like this. It is a good feeling to be able to put food in a bowl for her and feel confident that she can feed herself without a bowl or plate falling onto the floor. I also love that when she starts to get the hang of feeding herself finally, that the suction cup bottom can be removed to make it just a regular bowl. Bright pink colors really make this bowl stand out.

Wisegal Designs Review and Giveaway

I bring you another wonderful Etsy shop today called Wisegal Designs.  Wisegal Designs is a great place to find hand stamped and handmade necklaces as well as bracelets and other beautiful trinkets.  Diane is the owner and creator as well as a teacher.  She started out making typewriter jewelry many years ago and then moved onto soldering, then stamping.  She loves anything vintage and retro and in each one of her pieces you can definitely see and feel a little bit of that pure vintage, retro feeling.  Diane started making gifts for family and parent helpers and that's when she decided to sell her unique one of a kind pieces.  Wisegal Designs offers several design stamp choices including: heart, mother's heart, gerber daisy, sun, flower, bird, peace sign, flip flop, four leaf clover, owl, music note, crown and many more.  Also offered is six different font choices to customize your jewelry just the way you want it.  Wisgal Designs also offers several chain choices and choice of crystals to customize your piece.  If you are looking for that unique and special gift, I would head on over to Wisegal Designs to pick out that something fantastic for Mom, sister, best friend, aunt, or grandmother.  Anyone would truly be happy and amazed at the selection over at Wisegal Designs.

One of my favorite pieces that I found was this necklace:

the Mother's Circle of Love with Birthstones.  This piece is very exquisite and would be perfect for me to display both of my girls' names and their birthstones for everyone to see.  The funny thing is that the two birthstones would be the same as both of my girls were born in September-6 years apart.  My oldest was born on September 23,2002 and little one was born on September 22,2008.  Regardless, this necklace is priceless and would make a perfect gift.  Diane is very good at what she does, taking on the task of being a teacher along with her husband, and being a mom to two children as well as running her own little Etsy shop, brings new meaning to doing it all.  When it comes to her shop, Wisegal Designs, you can see the time and talent it takes to create each piece and the quality that goes into them as well.  You know what you are getting when you order from Wisegal Designs and you can definitely be happy with the end result.  I would love to order a necklace from Diane in the future for sure, for myself and for my mother in law.  She would be proud to wear something special from her granddaughters.  I urge you to check out Wisegal Designs and see for yourself.
