Julian's Gourmet Review and Giveaway

To me, there's nothing better than a fresh, hot out of the oven, homemade chocolate chip cookie.  I admit it , I love to make up a batch of batter and just eat that too, even though they are always warning you that it's bad for your health to eat raw cookie dough, I don't care!  It is so good isn't it?  I sometimes have to opt for making cookies out of a package or box, especially when I really don't have a whole lot of time to make them from scratch.  They definitely don't taste as good as homemade, but are good when you are in a pinch!  Making cookies is always fun too because you can really get the kids involved in making them with you.  I know the oldest is always wanting to get in the kitchen to help me make something, we usually make a lot of cookies around Christmas time or a church or school function.  She loves to add the eggs or stir up the batter and especially when we make sugar cookies she is an expert decorator.

The reason I bring up the topic of cookies is that with my love of these tasty treats and my love of Etsy shops, I bring you the best of both worlds: Julian's GourmetJulian's Gourmet makes the most delicious gourmet treats that are all organic and handmade.  From Chocolate  Brownie Chunk Cookies to Jalapeno Cornbread to Oatmeal Blueberry Cookies, you will find what tasty treat suits your fancy and you may even want to share, MAYBE.  I was sent a sleeve of homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies and let me tell you quite honestly, I didn't share.  These cookies were just TOO good and after the first one, there wasn't a chance that anyone else was going to get one of these.  These cookies were so soft and full of delicious chocolate flavor.  There is something different about these cookies than any other chocolate chip cookie that I have ever tasted, a fresher more satisfying taste.  Must be the fresh, organic ingredients that Julian's Gourmet uses or maybe it's a special secret recipe.  Whatever it is it is absolutely amazing.  I love a soft chewy cookie versus a crunchy cookie and these Chocolate Chip cookies delivered on all counts.  I can't wait to try more of Julian's Gourmet creations.  Let me tell you, these yummies would make that special and perfect gift for that foodie in your family.

I was also sent an assortment of little organic doggie treats as well.  My sister in law has an 11 month old beagle, so I gave them to her to give to him when they were over for a cookout one night.  He loved them!  I think the one that she gave him was peanut butter flavored, dogs love peanut butter too!

Julian's Gourmet is the brainchild of John, a lifelong baker and graduate of The French Culinary Institute in New York.  John loves cookies, but years ago he got frustrated with the chemicals, high fructose corn syrup and other ingredients that are created by someone in a lab coat that are in store bought cookies so he started baking his own.  All cookies are fresh baked to order and made with the finest and natural organic ingredients.  Special orders are also available upon request.
