I am a HUGE soda lover and probably drink a lot more than I should. I like the full sugar sodas, they taste so much better than the diet flavored sodas. I just don't like the taste of diet soda, to me they leave a strange aftertaste and just don't provide the flavor that I really like. I have a couple that I like that doesn't have an aftertaste to them, but I really just don't drink a whole lot of diet pop. I love to find healthy alternatives to soda, because hubby says I drink way too much of it. I tend to agree with him for once. I have seen a lot of different and unique soda alternatives out there and as you have seen, I have done a few reviews for different flavored beverages. Today I bring you a very unique beverage from DRY Soda. I was very excited to receive a 12 pack variety sampler of all of the flavors for review. I quite honestly was very scared of the Rhubarb flavor as I remember all of the times that my Grandmother would cook rhubarb in her kitchen and the smell of it was not very pleasant. I have never had in since I was a kid and have always been curious about the flavor of a strawberry rhubarb pie. Hubby was very excited to try this flavor as he really loves the flavor of rhubarb. I put a bottle of each flavor in the fridge to get chilled after I received it and because I wanted to do an accurate review of each flavor, I had to test out the Rhubarb flavor for myself. I handed one to hubby who was quick to crack it open and I took a smell. Still reminded me of Grandma's kitchen but once I took a sip, it wasn't so bad. It was really cold, which made it taste even better. It tasted to me like a light ginger ale with a little milder flavor. Hubby loved it and I think there was three bottles in the 12 pack, he drank them all. My favorite was definitely the Vanilla Bean of course as I love anything vanilla. This soda had a delicious and refreshing vanilla flavor and was not overpowering. It tasted great with a Italian Pasta meal that we had and is also a great soda for after dinner as a dessert. I love that these sodas from DRY Soda are not too sweet and just have an overall distinct flavor. The surprising flavor for me was the Cucumber, I mean who would have thought that this would make a delicious tasting soda? This was great with an Italian Pasta Salad that I made for a cookout. Of course, by me making it, I had to test the salad out and I put cucumbers in this salad so I opened up a bottle of the Cucumber DRY Soda, what a flavor combination! It is light and refreshing, just like a fresh cucumber yet at the same time a little fruity but not at all sugary like other sodas that you might drink. Each flavor is unique in it's own way and equally delicious. I am so impressed with DRY Soda and am hoping that they come out with some more unique flavors in the future for everyone to try.
