Make Ahead Meals for Busy Moms Cookbook Review and Giveaway

I love to cook, at times. There are some nights I love to make a great meals for my family like a big pan of lasagna or a chicken, baked potatoes and tossed salad. There are also other times that I want to just pull a box of breaded fish fillets and a bag of Ore Idas out of the freezer. I am not an expert cook by any means and definitely don't claim to be. I have a ton of cookbooks around the house and may crack them open once in a while, but just don;t ever come up with any new ideas. I don't know if it's because I'm afraid to try anything or if I'm just too lazy to try anything. When it comes to cooking, sometimes I just wish I could always cook out of a box or a freezer meal and call it good. Unfortunately, this is not healthy for my family or myself. As you all know, I read A LOT of other blogs and used to enter A LOT of other giveaways before I got really involved in my own blog. I had run across a cookbook that peaked my curiosity and entered several giveaways for it, to no avail. The name of the cookbook was Make Ahead Meals for Busy Moms by Jane Doiron. It looked and sounded quite interesting and if we know anything as moms, we are ALWAYS busy in some form or another. Make ahead meals sounds like a great idea. So I contacted Jane who was very gracious to send me a copy of her book. I actually had a little time one night and sat down to look through it and was really impressed with the selection of recipes that were included. From Appetizers to Breakfast and Brunch, Desserts and Main Dishes, there's something in this book for you to make and to get new ideas. Jane also gives you helpful tips for storing and labeling your meals, among many other useful tips. I'm not going to tell you all of the secrets, you'll have to get your own copy! I found so many great recipes in the Make Ahead Meals For Busy Moms book that I will have new meal ideas for quite a while.

Just a few of my favorite recipes in this book would have to be the Sausage Dip because my hubby loves sausage and this sounds fantastic with the two kinds of sausage, two kinds of cheese, ranch dressing and the baked pita chips for dipping. I think this recipe will have to be made for the Super Bowl this year. I love also that each recipe not only gives you the ingredients and cooking directions, but give you the "Day Ahead" directions as well. Strawberry Bread, Pumpkin Coffee Cake, Chicken Parmesan and a divine sounding Hawaiian Cole Slaw are all included in this book along with so much more.

Each of these great recipes in the Make Ahead Meals For Busy Moms Cookbook are individually home tested and selected. They are:
*Simple to prepare
*Simple to assemble ahead of schedule
*Simple to freeze ahead
*Simple for the whole family to enjoy.

Jane's goal was to seek out main dish, family favorite recipes that could me make ahead meals without sacrificing the food's taste and texture by freezing. Make-ahead-meals are a healthy and economical alternative to take out and preservative filled, pre-packaged foods. With make ahead meals, you are making fewer trips to the grocery store and saving money otherwise spent on unhealthy, take out and fast foods.

Inside Make Ahead Meals For Busy Moms, discover:
