Nature's Path/EnviroKidzs Review and HUGE Giveaway

As Moms (and Dads!) we are always looking for ways to keep our children and ourselves healthy as well.  Whether it be the simple things like making sure our kids brush and floss their teeth properly or wash their hands after going to the bathroom or after eating, we are always watching over them and looking out for them the best we can, whenever we can.  The way my girls eat is no exception as I am always on the lookout for healthier versions of the foods they love.  My oldest loves veggies and drinks a lot of water, but she loves her pizza, Pop Tarts, and other foods that may not be so good for her.  She doesn't drink a whole lot of soda, but does like juice and some of those are really loaded with sugar.  Little one is a very picky eater and only really eats hot dogs and grilled cheese for the most part.  I love how companies nowadays are coming out with lower fat and calories versions of the foods that are extremely popular in my house.  Lately, we have been buying and eating a whole lot of different organic products and if you didn't read the labels before you actually tasted them, you wouldn't even know that some are truly organic.  They have a lot of the flavor that you love, but without all of the additives that you don't.  Recently, I was sent a very generous package of foods from Nature's Path for review.  I love getting the opportunity to review all natural and organic foods because it gives me a wonderful opportunity to try them for myself and then head to my local grocery stores and continue to buy them if they are available.  I have done this on several occasions after reviewing a product as well as tell a ton of people about them.  This was such the case with all of the Nature's Path products that I received.  Here's what we got:

*EnviroKidz Organic Lemur Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars- These absolutely delicious bars are a pairing of chunky peanut butter and peanuts with chocolate drizzle resulting in a fun and yummy flavor with huge kid (and adult!) appeal.  Not only does it taste great, but these bars are gluten-free, low in sodium (50mg) and low in sugar (8g).  Each year, EnviroKidzs is proud to donate 1% of their sales to endangered species, habitat conservation, and environmental education for children.  They are excited to be working with the Lemur Conservation Foundation who is doing their best to help lemurs through captive breeding, scientific research, education and reintroduction.  These bars are really good, yes I know they are for kids technically, but I had to try one for the purpose of my review, right?  We are huge peanut butter fans around here and love anything tht has to do with it.  These Peanut Choco Drizzle Crispy Rice Bars definitely have a delicious peanut butter taste and just the right amount of chocolate taste in every bite.  Both of my girls loved them and couldn't get enough.  Even hubby thought they were really good.  I love that they almost taste like a rice crispy treat and are soft and chewy but crispy and crunchy at the same time.  This is a perfect after school or mid afternoon snack to give the kiddos, or maybe for yourself too!  $3.99 for a box of 6

*EnviroKids Organic Koala Crisp Cereal-  My oldest really loves any cereal that is chocolate flavored and where there are a few that are actually good for them, there are a lot that are loaded with too much sugar and that's not good especially first thing in the morning.  I want a cereal that is filling, not loaded down with sugar, and is good for her.  The Koala Crisp Cereal from EnviroKidzs is a great tasting cereal made with organic brown rice, sea salt, organic molasses and just enough organic cocoa powder to make it a new favorite cereal of the oldest.  I have to admit, I like it too and I don't eat a whole lot of chocolate flavored cereal.  I love how this cereal is also gluten-free, low sodium, no artificial preservatives or additives and with a great taste, I know my oldest is getting a healthy breakfast before she either heads off to school or just to start her day off right.  I also love the facts on the back about the beloved koala bear as well as a fun maze!  $4.59 for an 11.5 oz box

*EnviroKidzs Gorilla Munch Cereal- My little one loved this cereal as she loves all of the cereals that are bite sized and she can eat with her hands.  Cereals like this one are easy to transport into her munchie cup and great for on the go, plus the taste is really delicious as well.  I love corn cereals like Chex and Corn Pops, this one would rank right up there with the best of them.  The oldest really enjoyed this cereal too and asks for it more often than I thought she would.  This is a cereal with simple organic ingredients and an even simpler taste that you can feel good about giving to your kids.
$4.59 for a 10 ox box

*Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Multigrain Pancake Mix-  We make a lot of pancakes at our house especially on the weekends and are always looking for healthier alternatives.  I like to put a lot of fruit in my pancakes or on top such as blueberries or strawberries.  This is a really delicious pancake mix that makes me feel good about eating it.  I love whole grains and multi grain anything so this was a real treat for all of us and it makes a ton of pancakes in this package.  The pancakes came out extremely light and fluffy and were delicious and satisfying with real maple syrup.  The girls loved them too!  I also love that this pancake mix is enriched with the healthy benefits of flax seeds, which are becoming more widely popular.  $6.79 for a 26 oz bag

*Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch- With the organic goodness of real strawberries and raspberries, Flax Plus Red Berry Crunch is a crunchier and healthier way to get your day going.  This cereal is an excellent source of fiber, it has a whopping 800mg of Omega 3's which is the good fats and all the benefits of whole grains and berries.  It's also good to know that there's nothing artificial and grown without pesticides or herbicides.  Enjoy the delicious nutty crunch and Red Berry tang of this delicious and healthy cereal.  I personally really enjoyed this cereal.  It is good just fresh out of the box, grab a handful for a healthy afternoon snack or add some to a cup of vanilla yogurt.  It is also equally delicious with cold milk poured over it for a satisfying start to your day.  I love the juiciness of the berries too, this is one of the freshest cereals that I have run across in quite a long time.  $4.79 for a 10.6 oz box

*Nature's Path Organic Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise- A delicious warm real vanilla taste with a variety of crunchy textures from flakes, puffs and crispies make this a genuinely tasty gluten free breakfast.  Vanilla is my absolute favorite flavor, scent, etc and this cereal does not disappoint when it comes to pure vanilla flavor.  I practically ate this whole box of cereal by myself, not in one day of course, although I probably could have.  I love the mixture of all of the different ingredients and this is really yummy in vanilla yogurt for that extra burst of flavor.  $4.79 for a 10.6 oz box

I think the Buckwheat Wildberry Frozen Waffles would take really really good. I had something like that before, but it was a pancake and they discontinued it. Email: yona(at)pricelesswriters.com
