Artterro Craft Kits Review and Giveaway

I have often said it here on my blog before, my oldest daughter is absolutely a crafty kid.  She is an artist in the making, a lover of anything that has to do with crafts.  Give her a paint brush and an easel or a pad of paper and she will create a masterpiece.  She loves to draw butterflies, houses and smiley faces and loves to use markers, crayons and colored pencils as well.  She recently started getting into making different kinds of jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets and even rings and loves to use many different colors and styles of beads.  We often head on over to our local Toys R Us store looking for new craft kits that she can do and I love spending the money on her to perfect her artistic nature.  I was recently sent two great new craft kits from a company called Artterro, which specializes in unique and eco-friendly AWARD WINNING art kits.  I had never heard of Arttero before I read about them on another blog and was very intrigued about what they had to offer and really wanted to check it out for myself.  I was VERY impressed with the wonderful kits that Artterro and was excited when I contacted them for a review and they asked me to choose a couple of their great art kits.

We received the Garden Art Kit and the Wire and Bead Art Kit for review.  I really was excited to do the Garden Art Kit with my oldest because I had planed a couple of really nice flower gardens out front and on the side of our house and thought that these would really look nice.  This kit comes complete with enough materials to make FOUR great garden sculptures including: copper wiring, colored craft wire, large glass beads, marbles, and an ideas sheet to show you all of the wonderful creations that you can make.  The only thing that you need to make these fascinating and beautiful works of art are pliers and wire cutters, which we definitely have enough of with my do it yourselfer of a hubby.  The oldest and I sat down one day outside and made these great Garden Art sculptures and I was anxious to put them in my flower gardens.  It was fun to shape the wire into hearts and circles.  The beads were really a fun addition to what we were making.  We tried to make a butterfly and it looks OK, I'm not too experienced when it comes to crafts and needed a little help from hubby getting it into shape.  We all had fun making our Garden Art projects and now my flower gardens look really great!  The oldest was really proud of her work and loves to show them off when people come over to visit.

The oldest really had a blast with the Wire and Bead Art Kit, she made so many different creations.  Her big thing lately has been butterflies, she loves to draw them and loves anything that has to do with them.  So she tried her hardest to make a butterfly and it looked pretty darn good for her doing it all by herself, like I said she is definitely a crafty kid.  She also made a few bracelets, a tree and a unique shaped monster looking thing that she didn't even know how to describe it exactly what it was.  The main thing with this kit is that she had a lot of fun and really got to show her creative side with the great variety of beads and marbles to let her imagination run wild.  I love how both of these kits contain everything that you need with the exception of the few tools that easily and readily available around your home.  This Wire and Bead Kit only needed a pair of pliers or nail clippers to make your art.  Not to mention all of the fun your kids and even you will have just seeing what you can make.  You will definitely be amazed at all of the possibilities!

The great and creative owners of Artterro love art and being creative and wanted to share that experience with their kids.  They searched for eco-friendly and open ended projects with beautiful materials but there were none to be found.  Most kits on the market offer lots of glitzy packaging but don't live up to it once you open the box.  All that's left is a lot of cheap materials and a "cookie cutter" project that looks like trash after about a week.  As moms, we all know that kids enjoy quality art materials.  Beautiful and high quality supplies inspire them to create amazing things and use their imaginations.  Children easily immerse themselves in the process, often attaching themselves to their project and show much enthusiasm for what they have created as well.  Works of art composed with Artterro's high quality materials become treasures artists young and old can proudly display.

The creators of Artterro want to make it easier for people to bring art into their lives.  Their kits are for children, families, seasoned artists, and novices alike.  They've done the sourcing and shopping, helping busy people bring a creative, meaningful activity home to their families.  Out of love and inspiration, Artterro was born.  They are committed to using as few resources as possible, respecting and enjoying the company of the people that they work with as well as taking into account the social and environmental impact that they have on the planet and at home.  They also invest in 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, reusable bags, and high quality materials.  Artterro has also partnered with Green Solutions Printing as well.  All of their great kits are packaged and shipped from Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Artterro has also donated kits to Project Kids in Cambodia which is an art program that serves orphanages in Cambodia.
