Packed with a wealth of wisdom from the pages of Reader's Digest, Everyday Greatness will inspire you with moving and timeless stories of lives lived to the fullest, often through adversity and challenge. Works from such diverse people such as Maya Angelou, Jack Benny, Henry David Thoreau, and Joe Paterno represent shining examples of character-driven living. Stephen Covey's insights and commentary help readers apply these principles in their own lives.
Everyday Greatness challenges you to make three important choices everyday:
1.) The Choice To Act-your energy
2.) The Choice of Purpose-your destination
3.) The Choice For Principles-the means for attaining your goals
Everyday Greatness has to do with character and contribution , not notoriety, wealth, fame, prestige, or position. Everyday greatness says more about who a person is than what a person has, more about small and simple deeds than about accomplishments. 63 of the most inspiring stories and hundreds of quotes from more than 80 years of Reader's Digest have been brought together in this great book called Everyday Greatness.
Reading this book was truly a wonderful inspiration to me. Reading such great stories by the likes of Joe Paterno, Betty Ford, and Chuck Norris just to name a few, and all of the struggles and accomplishments that they have had in their life truly is heartwarming. This is a really great book when you just need an uplifting moment in your life. I really enjoyed reading this book and Everyday Greatness would be a perfect addition to any library.
