You all know my love of handmade soaps, body washes, lotions, etc as well as my love for a great Etsy shop. I have been really fortunate to do a lot of great reviews for new companies out there and a lot of great companies that have been around that carry some great beauty products. The newest comes to you from a truly wonderful little Etsy shop named Garden of Holly. Garden of Holly specializes in some great beauty products and excellent smelling handmade soaps. They also have some great gifts, products for mommy and baby, a variety of skin care and even cleaning products to suit all of your particular needs. The best things about all of these products is that they are all organic, which lately I am all about. Holly has been a pleasure to work with and sent me the most delicious bar of Root Beer Handmade Soap to review. I just used this soap in the shower this morning and it is truly amazing. I love root beer and the scent going throughout this soap is delicious enough to eat. I love how Garden of Holly makes this soap, you can see all the herbs and spices that she uses all throughout and you can feel them when you use this soap as well. Holly infuses her usual blend of organic oils and butters with organic dried anise, vanilla and sassafras and topped it off with wintergreen essential oil to make this intoxicating Root Beer Handcrafted Soap. If you love Root Beer like I do, you will absolutely fall in love with this soap. My oldest daughter, who loves to have a Root Beer soda once in a while, threatened to steal this soap from me, I told her absolutely not. I usually share with her, but not this time, this one is all mine! Garden of Holly hand cuts all of their soaps and they vary in size, and all are handmade using the cold processing method. They allow their soap to cure for two weeks prior to a sale to ensure a gentler product. This soap is very gentle and great for your skin, I absolutely love my Root Beer soap!
Hand made soap is the obvious choice: it is far more gentler than store bought soap. Commercial soap makers remove the glycerin that is left in the homemade variety, this gives store bought soap a longer shelf life but detracts from its natural emollient qualities. Homemade soap has been found to have a beneficial effect on skin conditions such as psoriasis.
