Last week I tried out the greatest product ever invented for laundry! I received a coupon in the mail for the new Purex 3 in 1 Sheets, so I went to the store and picked it up. I admit, I was skeptical, how could one sheet have enough soap, softener in it and have enough for a dryer sheet to soften all my laundry? I put a sheet into the wash and watched in amazement as to how it started working right away! I left it do it's magic and then went to go throw my clothes in the dryer. The first thing I notice when I pull my laundry out of the washer is scent, for me that's how I know my soap is working. I tried the Purex 3 in 1 Spring Oasis scent and I definitely noticed it. I found the sheet mixed in with my clothes and all of the soap and fabric softener was gone, nothing left but a regular dryer sheet that had plenty of scent left in it. I was quite surprised but let's see how well it works in the dryer. When the clothes were done, I was speechless! One little sheet could do all this! No measuring out laundry soap, having to watch for the rinse cycle to add your fabric softener, or tossing in a sheet into the dryer, it's all right there! OK so the only downfall is that it's a little pricey, but you get 20 loads out of one package and then you can buy the refill packs with 24 sheets each.
Purex 3 in 1 comes in three wonderful scents:
*Spring Oasis
*Tropical Escape
*Pure and Clean
I can't really say enough good things about this product, I am definitely going to make the change for sure!~

Glade Lasting Impressions Review
I was recently sent a couple of the new Lasting Impressions Fans from Glade. I love Glade products, always have and have used them faithfully for years. I love it when they come out with new things and was surprised when I was given the opportunity to review these. What I absolutely love about the Glade Lasting Impressions is that they have two different scents that alternate, so it leaves your home smelling fresh and clean all day. When I plugged it in, it didn't take long for the house to fill up with the wonderful scents of Clean Linen. Not only does it smell nice , but it is very decorative looking as well.
The starter kit starts at about $10.00 and comes in the following scents:
*Hawaiian Breeze/Vanilla Passion Fruit
*Ocean Blue/Refreshing Surf
*Clean Linen/Sunny Days
Once the scents run out, you can replace them with whatever scents you like. I always run across great coupons in the Sunday paper or you can go to Glade's website: http://www.glade.com/
There is an indicator light on top when you plug in your Lasting Impression Fan to let you know which scent is going. I have had mine plugged in for a couple of weeks and even though the scent is not as strong, it is still working to freshen the room. I love this product! The only downfall is the cost of buying two refills at once for one product. I have Glade Scented Oil Plug Ins in two rooms of my home, now I will have to buy 4 to refill them all. Thank goodness for coupons though, makes it A LOT easier to buy these and my local Meijer's usually has them on sale at least once a month, so it's easy to stock up. Also I head to Dollar General and Family Dollar, they have Glade refills there, they're quite a bit cheaper and they take coupons!
I would recommend these Lasting Impressions Fans to you to try out.
I would also recommend heading over here: http://www.rightathome.com/ and become a member. Right@Home is Glade's great website where you can enter some wonderful sweepstakes, find great tips on cleaning and organizing, food and recipes, designing your home and so much more. Plus they have special offers and coupons as well. I have been a member for a while and love the website. Please check it out!

Joshua Bell-At Home With Friends-Review
I was recently contacted by One2One Network to review the new album by Joshua Bell entitled At Home With Friends. The album was released yesterday September 29. I had to take a couple of days to listen to it to make sure I did the review. The album is truly remarkable! I have honestly never heard of Joshua Bell before or even heard his music so this was a great opportunity for me to get to hear something new. I was really impressed to say the least. This guy has real and raw talent that I haven't heard in quite a while. He covers all genres of music on this CD from classical to pop, bluegrass to Broadway, jazz and ethnic World music. There's even a couple of holiday songs mixed in. I love all types of music, so this was a real treat to listen to. This is definitely a CD to put in and listen to on a night with a nice cup of cocoa or coffee to just relax and unwind. What beautiful work!
Joshua Bell has captured the public's attention like no other classical violinist of this time. He came to national attention at the age of 14 in his debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra. He made his first recording at the age of 18. He also played Carnegie Hall, got the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and a recording contract that confirmed his presence in the music world. Today he is equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra leader. His restless curiosity and multifaceted musical interests have taken him in exciting new directions that has earned him the rare title of "classical music superstar".
Bell received the 2008 Academy of Achievement award for exceptional accomplishment in the arts. He is the past recipient of the Mercury Music Prize and has recorded more than 30 CD's. He grew up in Bloomington, Indiana with his two sisters and he plays the 1713 Gibson ex Huberman Stradivarius Violin.
The Track list for this wonderful and remarkable album includes:
1.) I Loves You Porgy featuring Chris Botti
2.) Come Again featuring Sting
3.) Oblivion featuring Carel Kraayenhof
4.) Cinema Paradiso featuring Josh Groban
5.) Para Ti featuring Tiempo Libre
6.) My Funny Valentine featuring Kristin Chenoweth
7.) Maybe So featuring Edgar Meyer, Sam Bush and
Mike Marshall
8.) Grieg:Violin Sonata No. 3 Movement II-featuring Sergei
Rachmaninoff
9.) Eleanor Rigby featuring Frankie Moreno
10.) Rachmaninoff: O, Cease Thy Singing, Maiden Fair, OP.
4 No4 featuring Nathan Gunn
11.) Il Postino featuring Carel Kraayenhof
12.) Left Hand Song featuring Regina Spektor
13.) Chovendo Na Roseria featuring Dave Grusin
14.) Look Away- featuring Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile
15.) Variant Moods: Duet for Sitar & Violin featuring
Anoushka Shankar
16.) I'll Take Manhattan featuring Marvin Hamlisch
My favorite song on this album has to be a toss up between Come Again with Sting (I love Sting!) and Cinema Paradiso with Josh Groban (another HUGE talent!) This whole album is a MUST HAVE and provides something for everyone. I would highly recommend checking out this very talented artist!

Fairytale Brownies Review and Giveaway(CLOSED)
I was so excited to be contacted by Fairytale Brownies to do a review! First of all I love brownies, any and all kinds, but I have heard about this company for quite a while. I even saw the Unwrapped episode where Fairytale Brownies was featured and they looked and sounded so good. When my package came, I could barely contain myself as I opened the box. It was all wrapped up in a Happy Halloween box and when I opened it up, there were all these little cute purple wrapped little bites of deliciousness! There were 24 Magic Morsels in Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Walnut, and Original. My daughter tasted the Original, hubby got Chocolate Chip and me well I went for the Caramel of course. These brownies were absolutely delicious and chocolatey that's for sure. The caramel inside the brownies was buttery and smooth and the brownie itself was moist and sinfully sweet. I can't say enough wonderful things about Fairytale Brownies. Needless to say with the exception of maybe 3 brownies they are gone. Sweets don't last long around my house and I knew by tasting these little nuggets of sweetness, that they weren't going to be around here long at all! Purely sinful, dark chocolate, deliciousness!
Fairytale Brownies was founded in 1992 by two childhood friends Eileen Spitalny and David Kravetz. It began in a friend's catering kitchen using Kravetz's mom's 50-year old secret family brownie recipe. Those days are gone now as they now oversee their direct mail gourmet brownie business in a facility where they bake over 2.5 million brownies a year. In April of 2006, Eileen and David received the Arizona Small Business Persons of the Year Award. That year they also moved their bakery to a new 26.000 square foot facility needed to accommodate their extraordinary growth. Visitors can watch the baking through viewing windows.

Sahale Snacks Review and Giveaway
I recently had the opportunity to try a couple of delicious nut blends from Sahale Snacks. I sampled the Sahale Snacks Glazed Nut Cashews with Pomegranate and Vanilla, which has whole roasted cashews with pomegranate and balanced with pure, fragrant vanilla. Once I opened the bag, I got the wonderful scent of vanilla which is one of my absolute favorites. I love cashews also but was real unsure about pomegranate. I have heard and seen a lot about it, but I had never tried it before. I was pleasantly surprised. These snacks were definitely different than anything that I had ever tasted. Very delicious! I shared with my hubby and daughter, although I could have definitely ate them all myself. Hubby is picky when it comes to cashews, but he really liked them! We also got to sample the Soledad Nut Blend, which is a sweet and spicy nut Mediterranean inspired combination of almonds, apples, flax seeds, dates, balsamic vinegar and red pepper. These were REALLY good and not spicy right off the bat, it's comes back around and bites you back later! A really good combination of goodies though, I love the sweet of the dates mixed in with the spice of the red pepper. Delicious!
Sahale Snacks was founded in Seattle in 2003 by Josh Schroeter and Edmond Sanctis after climbing Mt. Rainer and enduring days of uninspring trail mix and energy bars. The two set out to create a natual and healthy snack that tasted like great food. The company follows a simple product philosophy: Start with natural whole foods, use "culinary magic" and offer busy people sophisticated and convenient healthy snacks. Sahale Snacks is dedicated to helping people "Snack Better".
The founders named the company after Sahale Peak which is north of the Cascade Pass in North Cascades National Park in the state of Washington.

OOBA Review and Giveaway
I had the opportunity to try a new, refreshing and deliciously different beverage by the name of OOBA. The name itself is different, but what's inside the bottle is YUMMY! OOBA is a gently carbonated, lightly sweetened beverages as exotic and beautiful as the hibiscus flower from which they're made. I tried the OOBA Hibiscus flavor and it had just enough fizz and was packed with flavor. I loved it! My husband and daughter were able to try it as well and my husband describes it as "different but in a really good way". My daughter as picky as she is sometimes also really enjoyed it. I love trying new beverages because I have a tendency to want to stick to soda all the time. For me this is a wonderful and healthy alternative if you like the carbonation of soda but without all the sugar. This is deinitely a beverage that I could find myself drinking on a regular basis and feel good about drinking.
OOBA, the first ever sparkling hibiscus beverage comes in three ultra-modern flavors, all rich in the ancient healing power of hibiscus: OOBA Hibiscus, OOBA Hibiscus & Lime(Pure Hibiscus Extract with Key Lime Essence) and OOBA Hibiscus & Orange (Pure Hibiscus Extract with Orange Essence). They also have three other flavors according to their website: Blackberry, Vanilla and Pineapple. Each 16 oz bottle retails for $2.49.
"OOBA will tickle your taste buds and delight your eyes. Plus with every refreshing sip, OOBA's pure hibiscus extract also supports cardiovascular health by providing antioxidants and vitamin C." says founder and CEO John-David Enright, a pharmaceutical industry veteran with a passion for health.
OOBA, which is called the "Nectar Protector" is an acronym for One of Botany's Advantages. When compared to other health-conscious beverages options on store shelves such as POM Wonderful, Izzie and SoBe, OOBA has clear advantages-a generous dose of antioxidant-rich hibiscus extract, a lean 90 calories per serving and barely a hint of sodium (just 5mg). Made with 100% All Natural ingredients(just 5 of them) OOBA delivers on both health AND taste!
OOBA has no artificial colors or flavors. The ruby red color comes from the hibiscus flower. The exact amount is part of OOBA's secret recipe. The sweetness comes from the perfect amount of pure cane sugar.
Hibiscus is a colorful flower commonly used to make herbal tea and drinks throughout Egypt, Asia, Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. Hibiscus extract contains many of same antioxidants as red wine. There are more than 200 species of hibiscus cultivated all over the world.
OOBA is available at Earth Fare,King's, Jewel, Shaw's, Central Markets, Mrs. Greens, Rosauers, and Whole Foods as well as many independent and natural grocers. More info on OOBA can be found at

Pirate's Booty Snacks Review and Giveaway(CLOSED)
I recently had the great opportunity to review some delicious snacks by a company named Pirate's Booty. I was a little intimidated as well as amused by the name of the company and wasn't sure what to expect. When I received my package, it was so neat! It was a cardboard treasure chest and it will filled with all these bags of snacks, a pen, a chip clip and tattoos. That night we broke out the Pirate's Booty Sea Salt and Vinegar Puffs. I had never had Salt and Vinegar chips or anything before, so these were going to be a different taste. To my surprise, they were really good! They didn't have an overpowering vinegar taste and weren't real salty either. My oldest daughter and I had maybe two or three of them to try and then made the mistake of handing the bag to my husband, who proceeded to finish off the bag. Needless to say, I think he liked them!
The next day, my youngest daughter and I opened up the bag of Original Tings Crunchy Corn Sticks. She 1 years old and almost has 6 teeth and she absolutely loved these. They weren't too hard for her to chew, they were light and crispy as well as delicious! I kept telling my little ankle biter that we needed to stop eating them because we needed to share with the rest of the family (I always share my reviews so I can get a range of opinions), but she kept coming up to me wanting more, they were that GOOD! We also received some Pirate's Booty Aged White Cheddar, and a couple of other flavors that we haven't quite broken into yet, but if they are anything like the ones we have tasted then I know they'll be good!
Pirates Booty products are:
Baked
All Natural
Trans Fat and Gluten Free
130 Calories per single serving bag
50% less fat than Potato Chips per serving
They offer a variety of flavors in Pirates Booty Snacks such as:

They also offer Original Tings and Cheddar Smart Puffs.

Harry Connick Jr-Your Songs REVIEW
I was recently contacted by One2One Network to have the pleasure of participating in a review for the new Harry Connick Jr. CD-Your Songs. I was so excited because I LOVE Harry Connick, his music and voice are so relaxing and soothing to listen to. I received the CD the day it was released (September 22). What an absolutely beautiful and brilliant CD! I love this type of music and if you're a fan of Harry Connick Jr. this album will definitely not disappoint you.
A little bio on Harry Connick Jr.:
>He grew up in New Orleans and it is here where he found his musical roots and his love for music and performing. His early talent was shaped by such artists as James Booker and Ellis Marsalis. Harry was 5 years old when he started performing.
>His first widespread success as a musician was contributing to the score of When Harry Met Sally. The film's success led to Harry Connick Jr.s first platinum album.
>Not only is Harry a musician, he is an actor as well having starred in such movies as Memphis Belle, Little Man Tate, Copycat,Indepence Day and Hope Floats.
>He has done 28 albums, several multi-platinum and gold, taken home Grammy, Tony and Emmy Awards and Golden Globe, Cable Ace and Oscar nominations.
There's no stopping the talent that Harry Connick Jr has and that talent is shown fully on this CD.
Here is a song list for Your Songs as well as who performed the original version of each song:
>All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
>Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
>Can't Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
>And I Love Her (The Beatles)
>(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
>Besame Mucho
>The Way You Look Tonight
>First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
>Your Song (Elton John)
>Some Enchanted Evening (Don McLean)
>Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
>Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
>Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)
My favorite song on this CD was definitely Your Song. I love the Elton John version, but Harry does it with soul, his voice is so smooth and sexy. This whole CD is perfect for a candlelit dinner and a nice bottle of wine. The arrangements of all the songs are flawless: a romantic CD for sure.

More Ramblings
Good morning. I do have a few more giveaways and reviews to do but I am going to take a break from those today as I have a few things to do.
Today is my 7 year old daughter's birthday. Yesterday was my baby daughter's first birthday. We didn't do anything spectacular yesterday, just sang Happy Birthday to her most of the day which she really liked. Everytime we sang, she smiled and danced. We had a nice party for them last Saturday with a hot dog roast, cake and ice cream. Of course they both got tons of gifts as usual. Today my daughter was excited to go to school and bring in her birthday treats to the class. Believe it or not she chose Granola Bars, the ones with 25% less sugar. Hubby and I joked that the teacher would be happy! She also got to bring in a special birthday book, she chose a Fancy Nancy book, to take and share with the class. They have a special tote that they put all their special books in until the end of the year so everyone can enjoy them. Tonight, we are taking her out for a special dinner and then we are taking her to our local arena (L.C. Walker arena) where she will get to tour the locker room of her favorite hockey team: our local team the Muskegon Lumberjacks. She will get to meet some of the players and coaches too. We have been taking her to hockey games since she was a few weeks old, she absolutely loves hockey. She is really excited about this too. I will definitely be bringing my camera and will post you all some photos here soon!
What does everyone think about this new season of Dancing With the Stars? I absolutely love this show and was really excited for it to start. However, I am actually a little disappointed so far. My favorite at the start was Michael Irvin, I used to be a Cowboys fan (USED TO!) back in the day when Troy Aikman was quarterback. I also have always went for the sports figures on the show. Michael definitely didn't live up to my expectations, hopefully he will stay and prove me wrong. Kelly Osbourne was the big surprise for me last night, who knew? My front runners after Week 1: Men-Mark, Donny and Aaron Women-Joanna, Kelly and Maya Let me know what you think! Leave me a comment!~
Have a great day! :)

Beibi Shoes Review and Giveaway(CLOSED)
I recently has the opportunity to review an adorable pair of shoes from Beibi-Wee Squeak Shoes, It has been quite a time to try and get shoes on my 1 year old daughter's feet and then when I am able to get them on, to actually keep them on. She loved these shoes though-Beibi sent me a pair of their Tyler Light Pink shoes and they were all sparkly. Maybe that's why she kept them on or the fact that they were comfortable on her little feet. These are truly remarkable shoes and they have so many cute designs.
Infant Sizes 0-24 months are now available in the Beibi line.
WeeSqueak donates 5% of their profits to Half The Sky and to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Stride Rite SRT Review/Giveaway
I recently received a wonderful pair of Stride Rite SRT (Sensory Response Technology) Shoes for my little daughter and I was extremely impressed. Not only were they cute, but the quality of the shoe itself was amazing. Here are the ones I received:
My daughter who is almost 1 is just starting to stand on her own and walk, everyday a few more steps and these shoes will definitely help her do just that. I feel confident that she has a great shoe to support her and one that is comfortable as well.
SRT is something new that Stride Rite is introducing and here are some of the benefits:
SRT's features promote a healthy lifelong walking pattern and improve baby's ability to respond to their environment. Highlights include:
* Greater feel of terrain: Sensory pods in the forefoot of the outsole move independently of each other offering multiple reaction points, increasing a baby's feel of the ground beneath them. This allows a baby to stabilize their gait and better respond to their environment.
* More natural support: Unique "hourglass" construction in the midfoot mirrors a baby's foot structure to help supporting bones and muscles that are not yet fully developed. A smooth, rounded transition from outsole to upper prevents catching an edge, reducing the number of stumbles and falls.
* Freedom of movement: Ultra-flexible design allows the foot to move in many directions to help baby learn how to adapt to uneven surfaces.
"Many people do not realize how important it is for a baby to wear proper shoes while learning to walk," said Dr. Tanya Altmann, a pediatrician and best-selling author of Mommy Calls: Dr. Tanya Answers Parents' Top 101 Questions About Babies and Toddlers. "A baby's foot can provide a rich array of sensory information from which a reliable walking program may be developed if their shoes are flexible enough to permit such feedback."
Shoes in the SRT collection are also designed to make baby comfortable. They feature moisture-wicking linings, which help keep baby's feet drier longer, and eco-friendly materials such as a recycled EVA heel cup and a partially recycled outsole to protect baby and baby's future environment. A great feature for mom and dad is a removable insole containing a Fit Check™ system that easily lets them know when it is time to see a fit specialist. Mom or dad just removes the insole and places baby's foot on it. If baby's toes pass the Fit Check™ line, then it's time to visit Stride Rite and see a fit specialist.
The fall SRT collection is comprised of four boys' styles and seven girls' styles in baby sizes 3 to 8 in various widths, and features fun fashion touches such as suede fringe, metallic leathers and bright hits of color. Additional styles will be released in spring 2010. The collection is available at Stride Rite stores, striderite.com, better department stores and independent retailers. Visit striderite.com to find a local retailer.
Want to win a pair of new Stride Rite SRT shoes for your little walker or soon to be walker? Stride Rite with the help of Momfluence will be randomly picking 5 winners from all entries received to win a pair of these great shoes! These shoes are available in size 3-8 infant/toddler including medium and wide. Each pair is a retail value of $50. Head on over here and fill out the form to enter.
GIveaway starts September 14th 12:00am and ends at 11:59 pm on September 28. Open to U.S. Residents 18 or older. Five winners will be chosen to win a pair of Stride Rite SRT toddler size shoes-ONLY!

two leaves and a bud Review and Giveaway
two leaves and a bud have such a wide range of tea to soothe every mood: from black teas, to green teas, white teas and herbals teas: they even have loose leaf teas and tea sachets. They also have fruit teas and peppermint teas among others.
Here's a little info about two leaves and a bud:
Founder Richard Rosenfeld traveled extensively in Asia and India but found himself frustrated by the lack of good tea in North America. He started two leaves and a bud to bring great teas to tea drinkers around here.
two leaves and a bud is based in Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado, just down the road from Aspen.
They have received praise and awards from around the world including a Best New Tea award for 2005-2206 from the Specialty Coffee Association of the United States. In 2006, their Earl Grey Tea won the People's Choice Award at the Great Canadian Tea Steep Off.
two leaves and a bud co. proudly supports many local charities as well as provides donations to fund-raising events across the country. Their contributions range from Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, National Public Radio, Slow Food USA and various education, art, and youth programs as well as community health programs and centers.
I had the pleasure of getting a terrific box with 15 different samples of tea and I tried the Organic Mountain High Chai. Upon opening up the package, you get this wonderful aroma of spice: cinnamon and nutmeg. It smelled heavenly! It only took 3 minutes to "steep" and good thing because I couldn't wait to drink it. It tasted delicious, almost like a dessert tea, full of flavor. I also tried the Jasmine Tea, which was delicious also. This was a smooth and rlaxing tea, definitely one that you would come home and drink after a hard, stressful day.
two leaves and a bud teas are USDA Organic and they use only the finest teas, grown in single geographic regions, using traditional growing methods. The quialty of tea varies from hillside to hillside. Their experienced tasters select only the finest growers to bring you the tastiest teas and herbal infusions. They never blend with less expensive "filler teas". The finest teas start with just the very small blossoms, the Two Leaves and Bud of the tea flower. They named their company
for these shoots which are the essence of great tea.
Head on over to http://www.twoleavesandabud.com/ and check out their great selection of teas! You will have to get some and if you join their mailing list, you will get 10% off!
Their motto: a better cuppa tea.
Giveaway:
two leaves and a bud are generously giving THREE of my readers some of their delicious teas! One grand prize winner will win 4 full boxes of tea: Organic Earl Grey, Organic Acai White, Organic Chamomile, and Jasmine Petal (Green)
