Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to all! Tonight ought to be an interesting night. It is about 44 degrees here in Michigan, the wind is still blowing and it is quite damp outside. Typical Michigan Halloween night weather. We are still at this time debating on whether to take the girls out trick or treating especially little one. Is candy really worth it? I don't think so but try telling that to a 7 year old little girl with a small case of the sniffles. Yesterday was her Halloween party at school and she wasn't even allowed to take her new costume to school to wear for fear of getting it dirty so that she couldn't wear it tonight. With trick or treating up in the air, she may not even get to wear it out anyway. Little one has the cutest ladybug costume to wear as well. Oh what to do? Sometimes, I really hate living in Michigan because the weather changes so much and so drastic. The girls' grandma is coming out to go with us trick or treating and we even have Halloween cupcakes. I told my oldest daughter that if for some reason we couldn't go out trick or treating, we could go to the store and grab a few bags of candy, she could throw on her costume and we could "play" Halloween here. Where as she says that's OK, I know in her little heart it would be very upsetting to her. DH and I are making the decision in an hour, I have a feeling whatever decision that we do make is going to be the wrong one. UGGh! The joys of parenting huh? Hope it is sunny and warm wherever you are tonight and have a safe and fun Halloween!

Smart Knit Kids Socks Review and Giveaway

Sometimes it's hard to find socks for my girls that really fit. Especially for my little one who half the time doesn't want to keep socks on her feet at all. I was thrilled to find a company by the name of Smart Knit Kids. They are the makers of seamless socks and I think that is the best invention ever. Even me as an adult, hates seams in my toes. Rose over at Smart Knit Kids was so generous to send both of my girls two pairs each of these great socks. My oldest loves hers, she said they are the really comfy and they look to fit her feet really well. I put the socks on my little one and it didn't take her long to take one off, which in her world means she likes them! The material that they are made of is really soft and they are stretchy so you get just the right fit. I also love that Smart Knit Kids puts their logo on the bottom of each sock, so cute! I got my girls white socks, but the do come in different colors: black, pink, purple and navy and also come in array of sizes from 1 Toddler-8 Girls/Boys. They are not only completely seamless but they also have a no heel design so kids can put their socks on with confidence and not worry about outgrowing them so quickly, which ALWAYS seems to be a problem around my house. My girls feet seem to be the first thing that grows on them. These socks are such a great find and I just love them!

A couple of other great features about these Smart Knit Kids socks are that when you put them one, they hug your feet, so there's no wrinkle or bunches to hurt your child's feet when they put on their shoes. A no binding "Halo" top also prevents the socks from slipping down the leg. Regular sock usually have elastic bands on the top of each sock that binds or irritates kids' legs. Even better yet, Smart Knit Kids socks have high tech fibers that keep moisture away and ensure that feet stay drier and less stinky. I really recommend these socks to you to try out for your kids.

I don't know about you but I am always looking for alternatives to drinking water. Fancy Fortune Giant Cookie Review and Giveaway

You ever been to a Chinese restaurant and at the end of dinner, got a fortune cookie? Well I guarantee you've never got a fortune cookie like the one I recently had the opportunity to try. It was a GIANT fortune cookie from Fancy Fortune Cookies. When I was asked it I wanted to review these, I was like sure. I am a lover of fortune cookies, to me that is the best part about going out for Chinese food. The giant fortune cookie was elegantly presented in a nice white box. I opened the box and it was beautifully wrapped in clear plastic and a pretty satin bow. I was shocked to see how big this cookie truly was! It definitely was not your average fortune cookie! It was almost the size of my little ones head! This cookie was dipped in White Chocolate, which is my absolute favorite kind of chocolate. We finally broke into it the other night and I was expecting a huge fortune to drop out of it. There wasn't a fortune, but if you order one from Fancy Fortune Cookies, you can personalize your own message to go inside of it. I just read on the website also that this giant fortune cookie is over 1lb of cookie, which was no wonder why it was so heavy! I broke it open and gave everyone a piece. My oldest daughter loved it, my hubby thought it was good and me? Well it was delicious, as a matter of fact as I am writing up this review, I am snacking on a little piece of it. The white chocolate coating is insanely good and I could taste a little hint of cinnamon and vanilla and we liked it best because it was sweet but not overly sweet. We also loved it because the coating was really creamy. This would be an awesome compliment to a nice Chinese Stir Fry Dinner at home or you favorite Chines dish. This truly was a special treat!

My Lip Stuff Review and Giveaway

Winter season is approaching quickly and my lips always seems to be red or chapped or cracked. Good thing I ran across a product by the name of My Lip Stuff. They have over 500 different flavors of lip balm to "Feed Your Addiction" as well as other bath and body products. I was sent a variety of 6 different flavors including: Candy Corn, Marshmallow Cup, Gingerbread House, Rainbow Sherbet, Peppermint and Lemon Drop Cookies. These flavors sound delicious! I tried the Candy Corn, being close to Halloween and all and when I opened it, it definitely smelled like a little piece of candy corn. I love lip balm, I can truly say I can't live without it. My lips are always dry and this lip balm from My Lip Stuff makes my lips feel soft and smooth. My Lip Stuff balm is made with the perfect blend of butters, oils and beeswax to moisturize and soften your lips. This was by far the best lip balm that I have ever tried, I love the variety of flavors and I love that it's reasonably priced. I also like that their company is earth and animal friendly. Their lip balm is not waxy like some of the other lip balms that I have used. My Lip Stuff lip balm goes on smooth and stays on smooth and definitely lasts a lot longer. It doesn't make your lips all sticky, just smooth and sweet! Truly great stuff!

My Lip Stuff began in 1990 as a hobby by Brea , who is the creator. She decided to make her own lip balms after watching an episode of Martha Stewart about hand made lotions and toiletries. As a Vegan, Brea began researching for all natural oils and butters to find the perfect ingredients. After many, many tries, she finally found a recipe she loved and My Lip Stuff was born. It started out as personal use, and eventually moved on to Birthday and Christmas gifts. By 2000, friends and family were loving My Lip Stuff and it became a mini word of mouth business.
