As a mother of two little girls, I am always looking for new toys and games. I recently ran across a site by the name of Plan Toys. They feature a wonderful selection of toys that are "green" and "environmentally friendly". Their mission is to create innovative, educational toys for every developmental stage of childhood. Plan Toys incorporates thoughtful design and age appropriate challenges to stimulate children's creativity. Plan Toys encourage healthy social interaction, promote natural learning and instill a sense of learning. Plan Toys are made from non-chemically rubberwood and enable the children to not only play, but get close to nature. The majority of their toys are Wooden Toys and I love that. It means to mean that the toys are dependable and long lasting, which in my house are always a good idea!
Plan Toys is the first company to manufacture toys using wood from rubber trees that no longer produce latex. The trees grow to heights of 50 feet or more. The sap from the rubberwood tree is the world's primary source of natural rubber. After about 25 years, the latex yield decreases and the trees are usually cut down and burned. Instead of wasting this valuable resource, Plan Toys builds it toys from the rubberwood, to help preserve the balance of the eco system.
Selecting the right toys is detrimental to a child's development. From birth, a parent has a major role in shaping their children's playing experiences. By selecting the right toys, creating a great play area, and understanding their child's developmental needs as well as individual preferences, they can enjoy playing and watching their children grow. Developmental toys are a huge part of what Plan Toys is all about. They want to make your children get the best toys possible while helping them learn and grow and that's a big thing for me!
Plan Toys has a great selection of toys from Baby Toys (coming soon) to Preschool Toys (push along toys and stacking toys) to City Toys (such as Train Stations) to Dollhouses, they have something for every developmental stage.
