Pumpkin Pie Fudge Recipe

My aunt made me this fudge this week as a special treat and handed me the recipe, so I wanted to share it with all of you.  I LOVE pumpkin and everything that I have run across that I have tried with pumpkin in t just makes me love it more.  This fudge is no exception and I thought it would be neat to pass it along so that you could make it for your holiday get-togethers too!

Pumpkin Pie Fudge

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
3 cups granulated sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
4 tablesppons margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.  Combine milk, sugar, corn syrup, pumpkin and salt in a large pan.  Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.  When mixture comes to a full boil, reduce heat and simmer until mixture comes to a softball stage.  Remove from heat.  Beat in cinnamon, allspice, margarine, and vanilla.  Cool, then beat until thick and mixture looses it's gloss.  Spoon into buttered pan and cut into squares when cool and set.

Please let me know if you try this fudge out and how you like it!  I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!

Maybe it is me but the recipe didn't turn out.
I wanted to make it because my husband and I love love pumpkin and thought this would be fabulous. Well I think it might be me so I hope that others have a better luck with it.
